Another dh story.. Questioning the minds of MEM
 
So... We moved into this home at the end of march.. Of course we had to replace and repair a few things. Last week we replaced the garbage disposal... I got an upgraded version..and it is the "quite" version because my dh complains about noise! Anyway..dh installed e disposal.. All good.

A couple days later the dishwasher went to Run and it would not drain water.. Smelled bad too. Dh put liquid plumber .. No help

I say, it must be something you did when you installed the disposal...this is the first time I have used it sence then. Dh says no... It could not be that... No way! It is the pump, need to replace the dishwasher

We buy a new dishwasher and today it was installed. After the guys were done installing they asked me "who put in the disposal." ... :eek: oh no, I said my husband why? Well.. He left the plug in and that is why the dishwasher would not drain!

No way.. $600.00 for new dishwasher ! Not happy right now!

The thing is after 28 years of marriage why. Oh why. .. Did I let him install the disposal???

LMFO!!! Typical DH story, huh? They can be sooooo "helpful" to have around the house!!! Bless his heart, he was trying to help out. Give him a big hug and a kiss when he gets home. :mad::rolleyes:;):):D

YIKES...I hear ya girL....that's a costly do it yourself:( But, the positive side is....he will never do that again:D Bet your new dishwasher is really pretty too:thumbup::)

But you did get a new dishwasher out of it. :rolleyes::D. Now it will not have to be replaced for a long time! :D. Don't try to figure out men Shinja. Lol. You won't be able to! :p

yea.. I (well me and sears credit) paid for the dam new dishwasher!! dh has no guilt.. it is like .. oh well .. oooops!!

Ah dang! Well, at least you have a new disposal AND beautiful dishwasher? lol. This sounds like something my DH would do :p

This would so happen in my house also. I am so glad I am not the only one who has a "handy"SO who sometimes ends up costing me a lot more than the original cost.

I'm feeling you.... I'm waiting on a flood in my kitchen... been sick on and off the past month with a stomach virus or something, so I decided to let DH and son install a new sink faucet. I'll let you all know, it takes me about 4 hours... we're now on day three and I'm tired of waiting so I just finished up the last bits and cleaned up. Why can't they ever do the whole job?:mad:

Well you now have new disposal and dishwasher and they should last you a long time.

Well... I have thought of that to :cool: but when he was sick I would have moved heaven and earth to help him so I guess I just won't go there lol

It is funny.. and I know in the big picture it is just a funny story! The point I was making is the old dishwasher was not BROKEN.. it was FINE.. could have lasted YEARS. Now.. the range ..hmmm.. it is fine too but I have had my "eye" on a double oven model.. maybe I should let dh fix something on it????




BTW... MEM (title).. was to be MEN... it is official I am blind as a bat and the dyslectica kicks in a lot lately... maybe dh should fix me :eek:
