I found a job!! I found a job and start today. It's work from home as I've been doing for the past three years, just in a different field. I'm thinking based on the training so far, it's going to be hi-volume so I'll have to snap back into it. Not working isn't for me and needing to pinch pennies gets depressing. I started feeling pretty overwhelmed. I need this. I hope I like it. I start at 1pm. :) . |
Wow! Congratulations! It hasn't been that long has it? I understood most are without work for months to a year & you found one fairly quickly, didn't you???? Congratulations again - wow!!! How is the quitting smoking going? |
I was laid off May 1st. So a little over two months. I like having a job. I like knowing I have money coming in. Unemployment doesn't cut it. I really go on a manhunt when I get serious in my job hunting. It took longer than normal this time. I was getting frustrated. lol The smoking? Wellll... It's good except I slipped up for three days when I went through an "I don't really care" stage last week. I know.. bad.. bad. But I did. I'm not going to lie. I don't know why because it tasted nasty after all that time. But I'm back on track and it's been four days. It would be 3 & 1/2 months if I didn't slip up. It was just a few days, but still now I have to start the clock all over. The things we do to ourselves. |
Congratulations:D I hope that you like your new job:) |

@yorkietalkjilly.. I'm not going to quit counting. It's 3&1/2 with a slip up. I'm sure those few didn't change the progress of my lungs. |
Oh, I'm soooo pleased! I didn't think it had been months & months since I'd read your thread about losing your job. Well done, girl, finding one so fast! Don't let that slip up waylay your path to health! You are back on track, you will be busy working & should consider yourself strong as a conquering hero that you put those cancer sticks back down and walked away after your slipup. Hooray for you!!!! Huge step. I will be praying for strength and courage for you to stay on the healthy path. Become your lungs best friend - you are gonna need them. :) |
Congratulations. Working from home sounds so appealing to me. Good luck. |

ahh good beginnig of the thread until you last post, sorry to hear that. I also work from home but it is sort of for myself, I sell industrial filters for several companies on a commission. May I ask what type of at home job you had or have |
I\'ve been in sales for the past three years. I do very well in sales. I like them because most come with hourly plus commission, which is good when your good at making sales. lol It\'s worked out so far. But right now it is tough to get one. So many people are looking it seems. The one I did for one day and quit was flat out telemarketing. I can\'t do telemarketing. I don\'t like getting the phone slammed down hung up in my face all day. Not for me. You get yelled at and called every name in the book in sales, but they are calling you. They just don\'t like hearing they have to pay sometimes. I can handle that. lol |
