My Garden - Its Growing I am just so excited I had to post with someone who might share my excitement. I have a frustrated Non HOA Rule breaking gardener for years, sticking to growing a few plants in cannisters. I found a few years ago we have a community garden where you can sign up for a 8 x 4 raised plot. I signed up two years and and finally after being on the waiting list this long I got a plot this spring. This year I planted in the ground for the first time, tomatoes, peppers, beans, radishes, basil and a lavender. Guess what IT IS ALL GROWING!!! I am so excited, I go over there every day and water, and weed my little plot. I think the thing I am most excited about is I planted everything but the lavender from seed, in a little seed starters I bought at Walmart. I thought I would be shunned for buying starter plants... heck no, they all use starter plants. I kind of have my Farmville going. |
I completely understand your excitement. I love to grow things and have grown both vegetables and flowers for many years. Just not nearly as much as I used to. Congratulations! It's nice to see things you've planted by hand actually grow into something either tastey or beautiful.:) |
Yay! Congratulations! Gardening is such fun!:D |
Congratulations and I cannot wait to see pictures of the "crop". I love gardening and every fall I put down 500+ tulip bulbs -- my yard is the envy of the neighborhood -- and in the summer I go for Vincas, Hibiscus, Roses, Cosmos, and whatever other flowers love full sun. This year I also planted tomatoes, sweet peppers and habaneros!!! |
Congrats :) My mom has a huge green thumb and we have a full out vegetable patch in the backyard. The difference between those veggies and store-bought are night and day, so much sweeter and juicer you're gonna love it. Nothing like enjoying the fruits of your labor |
Congratulations. I love gardening it is so relaxing to me. |
I'm so excited for you too! It's wonderful to plant and watch your produce grow:thumbup::D We have a small garder every year with tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, onions, leaf lettuce, Jalapeno peppers, yellow squash, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, radish, purple cabbage, green peppers and my all time favorite....green beans:D I absolutely love growing veggies, but we end up with so much...at least we supply our neighbor with fresh produce. ;) |
