What is your favorite sound? Yorkie barking at you non-stop for unknown reason?, people fleeing a zombie attack, rain, wind chimes, mother-in-laws voice. wind? Post em here and enjoy.:D |
Laughter, especially a baby's, and the sound of silence. |
I like waterfalls! Silence is pretty nice too. :) |
Rain or a crackling fire in the fireplace. :) |
The coffee pot beeping. :D The pitter patter of my boy's paws moving in unison as they race on the wood floors to come greet me. My father's car pulling into the garage when he returns from the grocery store with good food, or when he returns from a trip. :) Mostly, I like the quiet. |
I love to hear light rain hitting the windows when I'm going to sleep.:) |
The jabber from a trail of quails that frequent our yard daily as there out and about. Hearing our Lamb April baa'ing :). Listening to Jack sleeping comfortably. Hearing the voice of a loved one that calls, especially my Mom and daughter Jackie. |
I hate the rain, but I LOVEEEEEE the sound. It makes me snooze :D |
I love my MIL's voice:p Actually she's great but gosh she can talk LOL. I really love hearing my son laugh, when he says I love you Mommy (I cherish that because oneday he will be a teenager LOL), Georgie barking-believe it or not he wasn't barking much when he wasn't feeling well so bring it on! I also like listening to him and Coco snore which I am currently enjoying;) |
The clink-clink-clink of sailing boats moored up for the night (not that there are many in Surrey...) The soft hush of snow falling.... The swish of the waves at the sea-side.... The howl of the wind in the trees when you're tucked up cosy and warm indoors.... The crackle of a log fire....:) Sally x |
I love the thunderous sound of horses feet hitting the earth as they are galloping across the pasture, or the clippity clap they make on cement, and I LOVE the sound of a horse's whinny when saying hello, and the softer little grunts they make when they meet their foal for the very first time. I love the silence of night when all you hear are the sounds of mother nature, the frogs, crickets, and wildlife. |
Your question makes me recall one of the sweetest things I ever heard. I was in a department store dressing room, and Ziggy Marley's "Family Time" started playing on the piped in music track. There was a tiny little voice, perhaps 3 years old, in a nearby dressing room that started singing along, word for word, the entire song. Time stood still while I listened, is was so precious. Ziggy Marley's "Family Time:" |
I love the contented sigh of my Yorkies when they are comfy and falling asleep on my lap. It tells me that they feel safe and sound and secure with me. :) I love the sound of Cicadas in the summer, that buzzing sound outside in the 'dog days' of summer. I could sit and listen to that all day. |
