Soaker Japanese Style Tubs Does anyone have? And do you use a lot more water for a bath versus the standard 5ft bathtub? |
If it was heated, I would think you could use less. I waste water by constantly adding hot water. |
here it is in stainless - I'd would love copper but..... Corner Baths | Stainless Steel, Copper & Custom Corner Bath - Diamond Spas |
Wow, they are gorgeous! |
LOL aren't they...but the price tag would make you gag.... |
Is it still a regular bathtub, just a corner style? Or is the "Soaker Janpanese Style" something different? I had a jacuzzi garden tub at my last house that I loved. So I replaced my standard 5ft tub at my wee house with a 5ft jacuzzi tub....it's so not the same thing :( I loved soaking in a big tub...not so much in the little one. It did take ALOT of water to fill the old tub, but it had a heater on it so it kept the water hot for as long as you wanted. I didn't go with the heater on the lil tub and I'm now glad as in hindsight it would have been a waste. |
Awh well the original ones are usually round, and you can get a heater option element. They are designed to sit in and well "soak". Should be deeper than a regular bath tub too. I can't find one of the sites I was looking at today - but they did show the round models. |
A big, deep, insulated tub with a heater...and I'd be in there for hours...until a prune looked wrinkle-free compared to me :D |

That's gorgeous in copper! What a great idea....I really like the seat area. Quite frankly, as I'm getting older, sitting in a regular tub with my legs out in front of me is great...until I go to get out . Then, I'm trying to get onto to knees and get my legs under me so I can stand up to get out...and let me tell you, it's not as graceful a procedure as it was 20 years ago. Love the built in seat! |
I hear you. But how does one get in the things? lol. I see the ones that are recessed into a platform - but the free standing ones? |

This is why we have a hot tub :D We both love sitting in the tub, but it's nice to stretch out in the hot tub rather than being squished. |
I'm in a remodeling nightmare...long story short, I was conned...anyways I've been looking at all sorts of tub. I'm a bath person, it's very important to me. That tub looks nice, I might end up getting that one :P |
