Severe Weather Alert for the Midwest Saturday
 
Being from KS severe weather is nothing new. But it is rare that they start telling us so far in advance (a week ago) for the potential of the severity of this storm (violent, long track tornados). It is shaping up to be a big one and I am right in the middle of the bullseye zone. Right now, it is an eerie quiet outdoors and people have already said the air has that uncomfortable feeling to it like something is brewing. My dd's and I have tickets to a concert tomorrow evening.

Get all your necessary items together, "just in case", so you wont be scrambling around trying to find stuff and remember what all you need in a worse case scenerio. Stay safe!

Please be real careful and stay safe. I pray there will be no tornado's at all.

I know on our Noon New's today they were telling us here to expect storms on Sunday, some possibly severe.

That's all we've been hearing here in Oklahoma too. Sometimes the tv weathermen get a little over the top about it and make you want to ignore it, but I keep hearing it from several different sources this time. It is a little disconcerting. You can feel that little thread of nervousness in the air. Heidi won't be a happy camper if we have to go in our little hidey-hole closet. She always throws a fit because I put her in the little hardshell kennel instead of my arms. When it first starts thundering she always barks at it like she is getting on to it. Its pretty funny. Then, obviously it doesn't obey her so she gives up and goes to sleep.

Thanks everyone. Storms don't usually bother me, but I'm on edge about tomorrow. That's probably because we have this concert to go to and I don't think my kids will let me out use the stormy weather to get out of it. (Miranda Lambert) I will be nervous all night long.
