I got photoshop elements. One problem.....I'm not smart enough to figure it out!!!!! LOL :D :D :D :D

I have it too and learned by searching the net for tutorials I found them far easier than the HELP on the site - do a search with the program name and see what you can find -

When I wanted to make avatars 2 years ago - I searched using words "Photoshop Elements 2 Animation" and found sites with great directions - so if you want learn about ...let's say... "layers" - use that word in your search

we WOULD be playing for real - I can only do a few things in PS 2 - but what I DID learn I use all the time - I make all my avatars in that program and love using it for them - also I could help you add gifs to pictures - like in the Santa Avatars I did ? That's how I learned PS, too- the tutorials. Here is a site that has some tutorials, and I know a few are based on PS Elements. It's one of the first sites I used to learn Photoshop. Just be careful, Elizabeth- it is highly addictive!!

That sucks! I forgot for how long, but I could download photoshop to my computer. Only thing is, I have dialup and it takes 28 hours!!!!!! :(

Thanks guys!!!!!! I bought Photoshop Elements 4.0 around 2 months ago & still haven't figured it out completely. I kinda gave up, I guess I will start messing with it again.

Photoshop Elements is GREAT! It's what I use to make my avatars. Good luck learning. Just play around with stuff in the program, that's how I learned how to use it@ :D :D

I start to do that & then I'm like where do I start & what do I do!!!!! It isn't an easy one to try & figure out. I use to have picture it & that was simple to use. Photoshop Elements is brain boggling LOL!!!!

It's actually pretty easy to do simple things like fix a picture. If I were you, I would open a picture and make a copy of it so that you don't ruin the original. Use the copy and just play around. Test out some filters. If you have anything really specific that you want to try but have no idea how, just type it in the search bar at the top of the program and see what it tells you. :D

Good luck! Once you play around in the program for a little while, you'll become more comfortable and you'll get used to it! If you have any specific questions on how to do something, I might be able to help you, depending on what version of Elements that you have! :D
