I will be thinking about you today... |
Sending lot's of prayers your way. I hope your Dr.'s Appt tunrs out just fine. |
You are in my thoughts and I will be praying for you. Please keep us posted. |
Jeanie just saw this and of course you are in my thoughts and prayers. |
Oh, thank the Lord, it is not a serious complication, loosening or infection, just something called IT band syndrome! The x-rays were just fine. I just have this swelling and tenderness all along the outside of the hip and leg from inflammation of the if the tissue of this band from over-rehabbing and too much walking. Doc showed me a special way to gently stretch this band several times a day and put this medicated anti-inflammation patch over the center part of it and gave me several others to use until the symptoms subside. Also, have to rest the hip and leg for a bit. I am so happy I don't know how to contain myself!!! It is so nice not to be facing a surgical redo. I can't properly say well enough how I appreciate all of your prayers and good thoughts - believe me I felt them. I'd like to thank each and every one of you - you gals are quite something and such a dear group to me!!! |
Oh, Jeannie, I hate to think of you being in pain, but I am so relieved that you got good news today. Please take care of yourself, and give your precious Tibbe a hug from me. |
What a relief. Now take it easy you have drs order. Lol |
Doc said this injury can stop an athlete in his tracks so I don't feel so bad being so worried. You go from a little ache along side the hip one day to swelling and tenderness from your back, hip, iliac crest and all alongside the lateral leg down to the knee the next day and movement is so painful! I thought the implant was infected or loose and would have to go through the whole thing again. I'm so grateful it's not that I'm silly with relief tonight. I believe I will ease up for a while. Again, thank you all again for the thoughts and prayers. Patti, I pray your news is equally good. You are constantly in my prayers with Ken. |
When I begin to read this thread, I stopped and prayed for you at that time. Then, the next post was like, the x-rays were fine and I thought, boy Lord, what a quick answer to prayer. lol!!!!! So glad you are feeling better and that the x-rays showed nothing where you would have to go back in for surgery. Believe me, having a body nearly all metal, I know the pain you feel. Just take it easy and do what the doc says and everything is going to be okay. |
I am so glad you got good news today Jeanie! |
Jeanie, I'm sorry I just saw this...but I'm so relieved to read on and find that the x-rays showed no major complications. Thank the Lord. Still sending prayers for your healing and quick recovery. Hugs from me & Zhoie. ))) |
I'm sending good thoughts and prayers that you will be feeling better soon. |
so glad for you! |
Oh, wow, Jeanie! I am so relieved for you. I was scared for you for awhile there and so happy you don't have to go through all of that again.:) |
Boy, I was scared, too. I didn't realize you could have your entire hip, thigh and back and part of lower abdomen around iliac crest tender and swollen in places and it not be dire when an implant was in place. But implant and bones looked great so it is all soft tissue! One that marathon runners often get. Never thought I'd have anything a marathon runner can have! I'm still weak with relief. Big smile in spite of the pain! |
