Ok Jeanie i never found it 2 Attachment(s) Here they are |
That may be the prettiest Ideal Peter I've ever seen! He looks pristine, almost tissue mint. Is he as perfect as he looks? I love his hair! He's wonderful! Was he from Ebay? |
Okay, when did you get that ST in the yellow dress with twisty wrists? She's not the one I linked you to, is she. I thougt that girl was in pink and had no twisty wrists. Fess up! |
Guilty as charged :D Yes i did get both boys from Ebay...and both are just perfect and ST is so sweet i just love her, But you know which is my special one |
When did you get that ST! I've not been on my email forever so you may have emailed me about her and I haven't signed in in forever. Actually changed my password and can't exactly remember it and will have to go thru the admin thing to reset. When did you get twisty wrist ST in yellow and can you soon post a pic of her? |
I have had her for months don't really remember when i got her..will post her pic soon in this thread :D |
Ohhh, can't wait. When you can, post, and I will drool accordingly. I don't know why I'm getting all excited - after all my dental work and hip surgery and replacing my A-C/heating, house repairs, and not working, I can't afford another doll in the Shirley or Peter range until I go back to work. I spent a fortune in the last 6 mos. on myself and this house! |
Jeanie do you not have a Peter Playpal?? or just wanting another |
Oh, I bought 4 of the Ashton-Drake brunette Peters when I was still working, 2 of the platinum blonde Patti's, 2 redheads, a Saucy Walker and Penny and MA Joanie repro - all within about 4 mos. All of my Peters look different even though it is the same doll. But I want an original Ideal Peter with the posable neck and an AD blonde repro Peter with blue eyes. He's not a cute to me as the brunette repro Peter but his coloring is gorgeous. Then I bought 2 Danbury Mint ST's! I do want anther Ideal ST though. Have to go back to work or raid the IRA to get one right now, though. Last year's dental expenses were around $20k plus the house repairs with the A-C/furnace. So have to wait a bit to be able to get my next Peters and 2nd ST - but I will - just down the road a bit. But I do so want an Ideal Peter with that boyish face he has. Oh, one of my AD Peters has really short hair and it is styled like Harry Potter's. And he has a pointy little chin and freckles across his nose. I bought him some round little eyeglasses and dressed him in a darker suit and he looks so cute! It's such fun to dress and enjoy the dolls. I used to love to dress all my Playpals - have an Ideal Patti and Ideal Saucy Walker, too - in frilly dresses for Easter and pose them in the den with the Easter grass, eggs on the floor, stuffed bunnies and add the boys with their stylish suits. I have a companion playpal no brand listed boy that looks sort of like the Canadian Peter Playpal and he's a real cutie. I bought lots of dolls and teddy bears when I was working full time! |
I have a Saucy walker and i just love her and i have a ST from DM and i still have the very first one from dreams ??? |
I could move some of the extra dolls on and raise the money to get my Peters and another ST sooner rather than later but having complications with my hip surgery and just don't feel like boxing those big hogs up and carting them to the post office right now. Do you know that redhead AD repro weighs in at about 11 lbs. - just the doll. All packed up, the weight is about 17 lbs.! The Ideal playpal dolls are much lighter but don't want to move any of them on. Oh, I have an original MA Joanie, too, beside the AD repro Joanie. That MA Joanie is totally charming - probably almost as cute in the face as Ideal ST. Do you have a Joanie? Such a charming doll. Love those googly eyes and her big smile. She's a cutie! You need one of those. She has lots of pizzaz! |
2 Attachment(s) Here is Saucy & Shirley |
Oh, she is just lovely. The one in yellow is rarer I've read in our books, I think. Wonderful condition as that vinyl of her hands is not discolored. She's wonderful. Don't you just LOVE that doll? She is the best, the epitome of collectible dolls to me and always will be. WHY can't they reproduce that exact Ideal doll nowdays? I mean an exact repro - not those Danbury Mints, Loves, Dreams, etc. None of those look like this wonderful sculpt and materials used and the coloring of the original. I don't know what I would pay to buy a brand new Ideal ST that looked just like the old ones but was brand, spanking, tissue-mint new but it would be a lot. Why can't someone do that? But I'll say this, however old your two are, they sure look almost new! You got two good ones though I agree your first Ideal ST is your best. |
Jeanie someone is using my dolls pic on ebay to sell a ST..the one in yellow..i have that toy she is holding  |

Finally got ST changed into the Danbury Mint pink dress(the one the repro ST came in), which is still new and crisp, ironed it, slipped it on her with lots of petticoats and a pink satin bow in her hair, white shoes and socks and my fiber optic bunny(life-sized) standing on the floor beside her, with some Easter basket fillers on a table beside her and she just looks smashing. All she needs is a pink Easter Basket but I won't add that to the display until nearer the weekend. Plus probably a big white basket of spring flowers. She looks just like all the little girls at my church used to look on Easter Sunday - all in pastel organdy and perfect. What a beautiful doll the Ideal Shirley Temple is! I will post pictures of her as soon as I can. |
Can't wait :D |
Easter Shirley Temple 2012 1 Attachment(s) Here a picture of Shirley Temple. I haven't been able to edit and the quality is not very good. You can't see the pink lights on the table top threaded through the things on the table and the fiber optic bunny sitting on the floor doesn't show up in all its brilliance but you can see ST. :eggs::bunnysmiley3::helibunny: |
Oh Jeanie she looks beautiful, the colors look great, i didn't dress mine for Easter |
Well, it's not really an Easter dress but it looks Eastery. I can't get into the playpal clothes, including Easter dresses, in the hobby room without moving a couple of step ladders and and a table to properly dress her for Easter so I made do. I do have 2 or 3 pretty Easter frocks though for future years. And then there's Ebay and whatever they might have for sale from now on. I want to get her a really spectacular Easter dress - something just over the top in girliness. Really frilly and lacy, with bows etc. I wish I could get her some little white gloves with the adjustment made for the middle right fingers as they used to sell - they were cute and added so much to the 50's and 60's Easter look of little girls from around here. I haven't been able to get to my collectible Easter bunny - he's stored away. He's only about 24" tall but he's the most unique plush bunny I've ever seen with just totally unique eyes and even eyelids. I'll post a closer up picture later and you can see the little Easter chicken ST is holding in her right hand - it's so cute. It winds up and hopes and Tibbe WANTS it!!! He aims to have that hopping chicken. |
that is so cute and i didn't even notice  |
