My teenaged DD and her boyfriend brought this to my attention today. It's a 30 minute documentary about the crime against children in Uganda and what the American youth (and people around the world!) are doing to capture this monster! He is kidnapping children and making the boys kill their parents and then join in his army and the girls become sex slaves.....very tragic and horrific way to live :eek:

It all culminates with a mass covering of streets and surfaces on April 20 (just a few weeks away)

It's worth a watch. Who knows? You might be motivated to join in this massive movement ~ I know I was!!

I posted a thread about this just yesterday..and Ive already organized an event to put up the fliers in my town!

I know. My DD has been to Africa about 6 times and this project is near and dear to her heart, and now mine as well!

God bless your husband!! I had considered going on a mission trip to Africa and decided against it...and a couple of guys who were in my youth group who DID go were murdered by Kony's child soldiers. My decision haunts me but it just made me so much more passionate to free these babies...they dont know what Kony Has done to them. It's so very sad.

Oh How Horrible!! I worry each and every time my kids go to Africa, although they go to work in relatively safe areas and not in Uganda.

It amazes me how fast the Kony info went viral. It's good when social media is used for positive action.

What's happening in Uganda and other parts of Africa is so tragic :(.

It's sad what's happening there, but I personally am more concerned with what happens in America every day
That video was started in 2003. Kony hasn't even been in Uganda since 2006. Please research where your money goes when you donate to IC- their 3 head honchos each make 90,000 annually....there's a lot of controversy over their spending.
