Sigh, I just love this little smooshy face with the bat ears! And I used to work with the woman who runs this rescue so I know her personally...

But I have 4 cats and 2 dogs.... people already make negative comments about the number of furkids I have. But I love the smooshy face!

I have to stay away from Petfinder myself. I want to take them all home. :eek::eek: At one time we had two dogs in the house, one cat, and three dogs outside. We lost one so now only two outside. But that is 4 dogs and 1 cat. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Ummm, Mushy smooshy face is calling your name...and I have never ever read a more perfect bio on a dog on pet finder, go get him, he needs you sounds like he comes with very little baggage and would be a great addition..don't tell anybody, just do it...do it for you! You will be rewarded!

who cares what people think....they have no idea how awesome furr babies are. i would much rather hang with my furr kids all weekend they make me happy.
keep us posted as she seems like a complete sweetheart.

I just knew I'd find enablers here! LOL I get paid next Friday, so I'd have the money then... I will sleep on it and contact my old co-worker tomorrow... :)

I agree, the more time I spend with people, the more time I'd rather spend with my babies at home! As long as everyone is fully vetted and well cared for it's nobody's business but my own.

I don't really have many hobbies, so I spend all my money on my furkids. I get so much enjoyment from spoiling them! Plus, I really believe in rescue. My pups came from a breeder, but the last two kitties were rescued. My Coco had been abused and it took about a year for her to get over being hand shy. We couldn't make any sudden movements around her or she'd jump and run off. It about broke my heart. Now that she's been here a couple years, she is not so skittish. She's just about the sweetest, gentlest little soul I've ever met. We adopted my little Figaro from a rescue that saved him from a high kill shelter. It was so satisfying to help animals in need and the love they give us is so much more than I could ever have imagined. I would love to be able to help another little furry soul. Plus, it's hard to totally tell her coloring from her head shot, but this little Frenchie looks mostly black. Apparently there is something called black dog syndrome that makes it much harder for rescues to adopt out black dogs and cats. I think it's crazy, but I guess it's true. That makes me want her even more. :love:

Well, so much for sleeping on it! I've already been looking at her for a couple days anyway. :rolleyes: I just e-mailed the rescue! Wish me luck!!!!!! :xfingers:

Thanks! What stinks is the wait! From what I understand, this is quite the busy rescue, so I'm sure I'll have to wait a day or two before I hear from them, if not longer. Patience is sooo not one of my virtues!

Last summer in Atlanta there were 4 French Bulldogs found in HORRIBLE condition. The rescue I volunteer with was contacted rescued and nursed all four of them back to health. They were the SWEETEST little girls, the community donated so much money and love for them and when the time came for them to adopted there were tons of applicants.

Keep us posted, I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Aww, I just heard back and she already has an approved adopter and 37 pending applications! I'm so disappointed, but I'm sure she's gone to a great home.

Holy smokes!! She was a wanted pup! At least she is going to a home where she can be loved. It wasn't meant to be. But there is always next time! :rolleyes:;):D
