Gus was easier to train,,,,,,, 3 Attachment(s) We have had my nice now for 10 months now. She just turned 3 in Oct and we are having a really tough time with the potty thing. We have been at it for a very long time but getting no where! She will go when I take her but she just wont tell me. So as long as I'm on her every hour to go potty she has dry days. But with all that has been happening to our family we have been on the go and she has been wearing pull ups. And I find myself sooooo frustrated. I have tried rewards, and pretty new panties. She loved her new panties so I thought she would at least try, but no. I tell her that I am going to put a diaper on her if she keep wetting her pretty panties and she responds,, "the Dora ones K antie Moca" We woke up yesterday and I told her "that's it" we are going to do this. I had her panties on her all day and she didn't wet once. She even told me she had to go! I put a pull up over night and she did wet in the middle of the night but she did have another dry day today. Could this finally be it?!?!?!? Please keep your fingers crossed that it is. I snapped these pictures last week after telling her that if she was going to act like a baby then I was going to treat her like a baby. I put her in the sink to bathe her just like a baby and she liked it! So much for that idea. Don't let the cuteness fool you, she has her antie ready to pull her own hair out! |
Oh wow - 3 is old enough.... and it's been long enough that I don't remember and little tricks for those days but just keep praising her - she'll get it - everyone does eventually ! |
I asked the doctor if I should worry. She said that Cherish has been through quite a bit. We will never know what happened to her when she was with her mother. And we were on the right track but when I had my surgery she went to go stay with my mom, who has my other sister who just had a baby living there as well. The only thing we can think is she got jealous of Adrianna. When she came home we had to start from square one again. My oldest daughter was not even 2 before she was trained, my son was the only one that gave me problems, but had got it down before 3. And Val was 2 and 2 months. So here I thought,,,,,,, a girl, this should be easy. Little did I know I had my work cut out for me! We had a dry night! (She just woke up) I pray that is really it!!!!!!!! |
Sounds like your on the right track! I used bribes! For every dry day he would get .25 cents and then when she had enough we would go to the dollar store. She trained in 2 weeks. She has always done well where money is involved. She's 20 now and in school to be an accountant and has more money then me!!! |
