I Did It!!! Well, actually my husband did! LOL! I took my very first injection of Enbrel this morning! Brandon did the injection for me. It was one of those auto injector pen thingies. I was SOOO scared it was going to hurt and I was so amazed! It barely stung at all! Now I feel like I can do this! I can get a shot twice a week and it not bother me! I am so happy! I hope this medicine helps!!! Just so excited I had to share! Yay!!! Have a great day everyone!!!! |
Thats great! Do you have fibromyalsia? My mother has that, I can't remember why she can't take Embryl though. Shes on a liquid ketamine suspension and some other things that I can't remember. |
Bless her heart! I know that is so hard to deal with. I have a good friend who suffers from the fibro as well. I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I have not taken anything for the arthritis part as it was only diagnosed a few months ago. I have had psoriasis on my skin for going on 8 years now I think. I have tried so many topicals but none were helping me. It was getting so bad the doctors thought this would be a better treatment. I've been wanting to do a biologic for a long time but I was always told that I did not have enough coverage of the psoriasis, but in the past year it has gotten really bad. I really hope it will help me. I would love to not be so self concious anymore! And to not be in so much pain! That would be awesome! I have high hopes for the med!!! :) |
I hope the Enbrel helps you. A very close friend of mine takes twice weekly injections of it too, for her rheumatoid arthritis. It's the only thing that helps her. |
i hope it does wonders for you keep up posted!!! |
That's great! I hope these injections help you! My 12 yr old son has atopic dermatitis, and we've tried almost everything out there on him. One thing that does seem to help him is the perscription, Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. Have you tried it? He has been battling this since he was 6 months old, and that's the one thing that really does help his bad flare ups. Good luck with your injections. I pray you get some fast relief! |
I hope it works! My DD has RA and she self injects Humera every 2 weeks. She was nervous at first but got use to it. Keep us posted. |
