Did you ever wait on hold (phone) for 2 1/2 hours? Well I did today!!!!! And Tracfone STILL didn't pick up. Oh boy was I livid!!!! Anyone use Tracfone? I don't, my father does. He likes those prepaid plans. Well he got a new phone and needed help transferring his minutes over. So I called from my house phone, thank goodness. The recording said 30 minute wait. I sighed with that wait, but thought, they usually say it will be longer than it will be. HA! Yeah right. Well, 2 hours and 32 minutes later and I'm still on hold! So I decided to do a Google search and try to find some secret Tracfone customer service phone numbers. I did that before years ago when I couldn't find a Paypal number on their website. Well, I found another number and someone picked up right away! Come to be that I called the retailer's special phone number (the number that Target or Walmart or whoever sells Tracfone calls). I told the women how mad I was and she helped me out. Gave us 20 whole free minutes for my inconvenience. :rolleyes: I told her I wanted 2 hours and 32 free minutes, but that didn't work. So, I took the 20. I also asked her if the customer number had one person working who didn't speak English or something. She said they had high call volume. Uh, ya think??? It's totally unacceptable to say 30 minutes and have a customer on hold for as long as I was. I wonder is there's anything else I could do!? PS. If you use Tracfone LMK and I'll get the secret phone number for you. |
I haven't dealt with that with Tracfone but my daughter used to have Metro PCS. They were comparatively cheap but REALLY sucked! I called them before for one issue or another & they literally do not have live help! Ever. Period! They don't tell you that, you can request someone & the auto chick will say "I understand you'd like to speak with someone, but I think I can help you..."-FOREVER! I went into the store & asked them for help & he told me no person exists, when he calls to resolve issues for customers he has to use the system, too.:rolleyes: |

That is horrible!! You know people just don't care anymore! I work in customer service and if I ever treated any of my customer like that or how I've been treated I would have been thrown out of here LoL. |
I hate being on hold!!!! Yesterday I had to call health connections to let them know I wouldnt be at the stop smoking class and when I called the number Myu letter said to call if you couldnt mak,e it. anyway I called I got an automated answering that put me on hold. So I wait and wait and wait and a person actually answered and when I told her I wouldnt be at the class she said Im going to put you on hold while I find the number you need to call. She put me on hold and I waited and waited and waited andx finally hung up and decided if they were that badly organized they werent going to get the courtesy of my call letting them know I wouldnt be there |
The unemployment rate here is high, so when I found out I was eligible to receive unemployment benefits for the 4 weeks unpaid I took a year, I called the unemployment office and the hold time was about 1.5 hours. You can't hang up with them either, because you put in sooo much information before you even get put on hold that you'd have to do that all over again. That actually really confuses me too, why do I put all my info in on the phone, when I have to give the same information to the person who finally does pick up??? annoying! So anyways, 1.5 hours is the longest Ive been on hold ... i can't imagine 2.5 hours. Thats ridiculous. The unemployment office actually started telling people to call back if the wait was over an hour, so sometimes you could call 6x a day go through the whole rigamaroll of putting in your info just to be told to call back at a later time. |
I have a Tracfone number that picks up and real people talk to you. I was emailed it from Tracfone when I was having problems and have used it since and every time a real person answers and helps me. PM me and I will give it to you. |
Oh my! You poor thing! I have never had to wait on the phone that long but I imagine I would be quite ticked at the whole situation. We have had Tracfone before but are with T Mobile now. I hate T Mobile too! We get crappy service, it's too high, and customer service is bad every time we call in. As soon as our 2 years is up, we are switching. I hope you can get Tracfone to help you out! |
