DH's helpers 1 Attachment(s) As you all know my husband is recovering from a bad leg break or should I say crushed bones. Well its been almost five weeks and I think he is really getting bored. We go back weekly to watch the open wound where the bone came out. They still have not taken a x-ray to see if the bones are attaching to the plates they put in. So a lot of unknowns yet. He is getting very restless and upset with the way it still feels. I can not imagine how frustrated it has to be. Anyways we go back tomorrow for a new cast (this is a weekly deal) and then the following week to have a x-ray. This is a five hour car ride weekly for him and he has to sit in the back sit with his leg on pillows. He really has kept a good attitude but i think that is getting harder. But wanted to share this pictures these two make him smile everyday. And little Riley stays by his side I truly think he thinks he is holding him down. :) The dogs have been very good for him. And I truly believe they help his mood everyday |
That picture of them is great!:) I really believe you are right when you say they help his mood. I think they are very uplifting. That's a looooong weekly ride. I'm sure he is getting very restless. |
Your babies are precious! I'm glad he has them to lift his spirits! Good luck with everything! |

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your DH. |
What a great shot! I'm sorry he has to go through this but at least he's lucky to have two such cute therapy dogs:D |
What a wonderful picture! Such smart pups they are. But I do know a bit about being laid up. I was for 6wks. Surgery on ankle. Big cast et al. Nothing as serious as your hubby's fracture though. I did go stir crazy!. Reading, TV, and when I could move well enough, I laid on tummy on bed in garden room beside patio doors, and threw the toy for the pups to fetch. |
awww very cute. i feel u and ur dh's pain. my dh has been out of work since august with his third back surgery!! he has been told he cannot return to his career and his doctors have filed paperwork for disablity. he is about to go out of his mind. i always remind him that now he gets to stay home and be the doggie daddy!! hope ur dh gets better real soon!!! |
This is just too darn sweet! Prayers for a speedy recovery for your DH. Even though he does have the two cutest little nurses taking care of him! :p |

Thanks everyone for the nice words. I just let hubby read all of them and he smiled. We had a good check up today stitches out and do not have to go back for two weeks. Then they will do an x ray to see if the bones are healing. I can not wait for that. I want to here they are healing well. Still saying at least three months no weight and could be longer. Dogs have there work cut out for them to keep him smiling. Lol |
It looks like DH has some wonderful nurses:) Sending prayers that his recovery goes by fast. |
