PM Problems For the past few days I have been receiving emails saying I had either a new PM or a Friends request. On going to the relevant place there is nothing there for me, no message and no request. I did get an email saying there was a friends request from a person who was already on my list of friends. No new notification in my tray though. When I looked at the email it was a very old one in fact it was the original request to join friendship. I would like to know if there is any other member with this problem if so we need to bring it to the attention of the Mods. |
I just checked my email and got a msg from last February, lol. I use hotmail, and they made some changes, flagged msgs will stay on the top of the list, lol! Don't know if this info helps you though...:D |
Brian I have been getting the same type notifications...either really old friend requests or pm's from months ago..I think I read on a thread somewhere it was something to do with the main servers going down a few weeks ago. |
Me too I keep getting the same email message saying it was from the person I last got a PM from weeks ago. |
My email is FULL every day with old notifications from Sept. and Oct. It's become so ridiculous that I changed my email notification address and just delete everything daily. The notification feature was a good way for me to keep up with currently posted threads while I was working. I have a lot of down time while I'm working and loved to fill the time with a little YTing. But not any longer since they are not coming in months later. It's very frustrating because I love YT and don't always have the time to come on and check each of my subscribed threads. It was much easier to read by email notifications and connect directly back to the thread. I'm hoping at some point these issues will be corrected :( |
From reading this thread it is clear that there is an issue here. I am surprised this has not been picked up by a MOD and a reason give for this happening. I agree it is frustrating and to an extent spoiling YT as I can no long trust emails so will now turn them off until this is resolved. |
I had to unsubscribe to all the threads i was interested in, however I am STILL getting notifications from months back. It certainly has become extremely frustrating to continually get emails in my inbox and have to search for them since they are from the past. |
I have informed Admin of this problem and asked them to make a comment on this thread but to date they have not done so .....never mind...we will continue to be frustrated with getting old emails. |
They do know there is a problem and they have been working on it. There is an area where that info is posted. It's called site suggestions/problems/questions. |
