Any suggestions for calming down/relaxing I am doing some voice work for a video game.. and I've never done any before. I keep talking too fast.. adding pauses where they aren't supposed to go, stressing my consonants. I've always been well spoken but I've never felt this much pressure to speak perfectly. I feel like I'm about to lose my marbles. Do you have any tricks to calm yourself down when you're stressed and you need to act/sound/seem calm? Thanks <3:animal-pa |
Exercise! Long, peaceful walks. Works everytime. Gotta take the yorkie, too.:) |
How about a glass of wine to take the edge off? |
Ever do yoga? The breathing techniques really help. If not, just close your eyes, put one hand on your chest and one on your tummy and breath slowly and deeply. Concentrate on your hand rising and falling. Within 20 seconds you're a little calmer. |
Several deep breathes before you begin, then just pretend that you are doing the lines for some friends. Good luck. I hope you find something that works for you. |

Try some deep belly laughs. Your home, no problem, laugh out loud, just for the heck of it. Try it, if you feel silly doing it, laugh at your silliness. Great stress reliever, relaxes your diaphragm, and lowers your blood pressure. Or if you love to sing .. sing out loud with your favorite song. Dancing anyone? |
Just let yourself relax and try to release your tension, ... I think that praying helps. Just let it all go! |
