Riley keep dh company and a picture of the foot 2 Attachment(s) I have a lot of time on my hands while we wait to go back and have more surgery so thought I would share a picture of how Riley is spending his days. He is helping dh to heal. they are great for him. the foot has many stitches in it under the bandage. He is starting to worry about the next surgery as i would. So guess i will have lots of time to spend on yt :D |
Ouch! Pup looks comfy though! |
Aww, love the pictures, but that foot looks scary. That is awesome they let you bring Riley into the room. I could imagine it helps tremendously with the healing. Keeping you all in my thoughts for your dh's upcoming surgery. |
Ouch! Looks so painful! I thought of you guys yesterday...my daughter broke her pinky toe. Is he still at the hospital? I'm so glad Riley is able to visit. Yorkies are great healers! :) Hope the next surgery goes well and he is able to continue to heal well. |
I see Riley is very busy nursing his daddy. I have one who thinks she's a nurse here, too. Little Gidget loves to stay w you if you're sick or lick your boo-boo. I think DH's foot looks good, considering all that poor guy went through. I don't blame him about the worrying. Surgeries are never fun. We will keep him in our prayers. When is his upcoming surgery? I guess Riley will be kept busy nursing. It looks like he loves his job! :p:) |
Oh my goodness what a little sweet thing laying in daddy's arms, i'm sure it helps take some of the pain/stress away |
we are at my daughters till friday. He was released to go home late saturday night My daughter lives closer to rochester and insisted we come here just in case. We go back to the hospital on friday and if it looks well enough they will start fixing it. It will take lots of screws and plates they tell me. And may be two surgeries :( But there was a poodle visiting at the hospital while we where there the first day so they do allow it.:) But my dogs will stay with my daughter while we are there again. It is working well at her house as it is set up a little better. But we will go home after the next surgery and figure it all out He has to use a walker so not sure how the doorways will work in my home. I am sure it will be fine. I told him Merry Christmas when we bought the walker.. (he found no humor in that) But he is staying pretty positive for the time being. I am sure we will have some bad days as he can not do anything and he is not the kind to sit around. But for now we will just take one day at a time Thanks for all the prayers I am sure they help |
We're thinking about you, and sending wishes for healing and health. I swear by guided meditations for healing (not the new agey kind, just the focus on your body and relaxing kind ;)). They helped me prepare for, handle and recover from 5 surgeries last year. Mentally trying to get to a place where you just accept your current state, try to learn all you can from it, and be at peace with it, all helped me a ton, too. I'm so sorry he (and you) has to go through this. (If you want meditations you can download on iTunes, just let me know :) ) |
Hope he has a quick recovery! Poor guy! Bless your hearts! What an adorable pup too! |
I am so very sorry to hear about your DH's accident. Looks like it was a very nasty break. I can sympathize - I have been wearing an external fixator since June. Good Ortho's can work miracles these days. Looks like Riley is working his own type of miracle. Very cute pics. |
Yikes his foot looks painful and scary. I am glad he has Riley to cheer him up. I will keep him in my prayers. |
Wow that doesnt look like any fun at all. Good thing he has Riley to nurse him. Gosh I feel for you and hubby. Hope the surgery's, screws, pins, and whatever else go smoothly and quickly so he has a fast recovery. Hugs. |
awww so wonderful how our pups can make us feel better! |
I'm sure Riley is a comfort to your husband. It's amazing how these sweet pups can make us feel better. Keeping you and your husband in my prayers. |
I just love that picture. I figured the yorkies would be good for him. They are natural therapy dogs anyway, besides being great company. His foot looks horrible. Sending prayers for him that he will be ok. |
