My extreme animal phobia Does anyone watch this show on animal planet? It's crazy! I caught myself screaming when they had an episode with roaches, I guess that's my big fear. Ughhh roaches terrify me. How bout any of you? |
I watched the first episode and loved it! But when the preview showed roaches in the next episode I couldn't watch it. Ugh I can't stand those things! But did like watching the non roach episodes. =3 |
lol yea roaches really bother me, the fact that they make them hold the roaches is crazy! Maybe I should go on that show to get over my fear lol I think it's the first episode where the guy got a pet snake after he confronted his fears. I thought that was so cool |
I dont like snakes at all so even having a pet snake wouldnt help me get over it |
I've watched it and the one's with spiders freak me out! I was ready to run out the room when they started handling them! Spiders are my biggest fear! I could'nt do it! LOL |
I have watched this... One guy was afraid of puppies lol. I don't like bugs very much so I would definitely squirm if I saw them holding roaches... yuck! |

Another girl had a pet spider after the spider exposure, but would /never/ own a diseased pet roach lol |
Who isn't naturally afraid of spiders & snakes? Sorry to those who have them as pets but 10,000+ years of instinct tell us-run, run away do not hold & pet! I'm afraid of birds though, mainly chickens they are mean. Oh and I hate, yes I said hate, parasites. |
I haven't been watching much tv so I haven't seen this yet. I'm not too afraid of insects, but I despise roaches as well. One summer we had a problem with them and kept coming into the house. The big ones. With wings. That fly. I'd reach into the cupboard to get the dog food or something and one crawled onto my finger. I can still feel it there! They grab onto you! I screamed so loud and flung him across the room. I'm not to bad with spiders or snakes. I HATE SNAILS. THEY FREAK ME OUT. |

I had a horrible roach experience when we lived in Austin Texas that I'm still too traumatized by to type here........maybe this thread will help cure my phobia too????? |
Oi! I had a situation like that too, There was this time I was at my mom's and they left the window cracked open in the bathroom. Well I went to take a shower and I brought my suitcase in the bathroom with me, when I started to undress I saw a HUGE roach on the wall so I grabbed a towel, skipped the shower, and ran out. Had to wear my sisters clothes because I was too scared to get my stuff and my family couldn't find it. The next day I was due to go home so after cautiously entering the bathroom I figured the roach went out the window, so I grabbed my suitcase and left. After I drove 4 hrs home, I went to unpack my suitcase..yea...the roach was IN THERE! It crawled on my hand when I was getting my clothes out and I screamed and flung my arms but it held on!! I was screaming wildly and waving my arms and finally it let go and started FLYING in my room...ughh I still get goosebumps. Thankfully my cat was /really/ happy about the roach and he totally pulled a ninja move and caught the roach mid-flight. So cool. Knowing that roach waited patiently in my suitcase gives me the heebie jeebies! |
I love that show, although I think some are faking it lol. I have a fear of big dogs. I can't even walk around my mom's neighborhood because I fear a big doll will be a loose and attack me. |

A few weeks ago we were getting ready to go out, I think it was for halloween actually. I saw a roach slowly crawl out from under the couch and freaked out. BF was behind me and MIL was upstairs by the railing talking to us, and both of them said stomp it with my boots. No way I was getting roach guts on my boots! So MIL had to come downstairs and get it. She said it was dead already, but I KNOW I saw it crawl out from under the couch! Maybe it just died just then, but still... I'm not taking ANY chances! LOL |
LOL! the roach used it's last bit of life to scare you ;) Nah, my cat didn't eat it. He played with it for a few minutes- chomped on it, threw it in the air, batted it around- and after he realized the roach was dead he disregarded it and left it for me to clean up. blech lol |
