What to do after being fired from a job? i got my first job in telesales in the middle of september, and today i guess i got fired. i got fired for the fact that im not assertive enough, therefore not making enough sales, to be honest, i dont think thats a bad thing in some ways, atleast i wasnt being mean and such. |
Sorry you were fired. You will find the right job just keep looking. :) My husband was once fired via email from his boss, who away on his boat at the time! He started calling immediatly and had another job lined up by the end of the day. We prayed for God to guide him where He wanted and that is just what happened. I hope you find something that you enjoy and can become successful in. :) |
After spending 5 minutes feeling sorry for yourself, get out there and look really hard for another job. I know it's easier said than done, but be confident and project confidence in yourself when you are being interviewed. Good luck!:) |
Sorry to hear that. Apply as soon as possible for unemployment benefits if you are eligible. I hope you find a job that more suits Your talents. I agree not being assertive isn't a bad thing. Good luck. |
I agree with YorkieUSA, feel bad, but be quick to move on. I sulked the first time I got fired, and it didn't to much good. Update that resume, and start sending them out. A lot of stores are hiring for the holidays. If you're up for it, it could hold you over until you find something permanent. Plus, it's the holidays, stuff sales itself. |
So sorry you lost your job. I have been fired once before too and I know it does not feel good. Well, they coined it 'letting you go,' but we all know that is a nice way of saying you are fired. I was doing a great job at the vets office I was working for, but they felt the vets new daughter in law would be a better fit for the job. It was the biggest shock of my life. I had been working there for months and been told how much the customers/animals liked me and how I was excelling at my work. And then one Friday afternoon...bam! Hit me like a ton of bricks! I actually cried in my bosses office as he told me the news. I couldn't help it. I cried all the way home and most of the night. But after that, I just picked myself up and was as professional as I knew how to be. I had to go back into the office the following Monday because I had left a few things and I was as nice and professional as I could be. I thanked them for the opportunity and left quietly. That same day I started putting in applications and got an even better job by the end of the week. I stayed with that job for over 2 years before we moved and I became a stay at home wife. So just put yourself back out there and try not to let it get you down! You can do anything you set your mind too! Good luck in your job search! Hugs to you! |
