You guys took the words right out of my mouth! LOL! We are not Black Friday people around here either. I couldn't stand waiting in line in the cold, fighting all the crowds, the traffic, people get rude, and my nerves just can't handle it! I'd have to double up on some anxiety meds if I even tried! LOL! I just can't handle it. Katie Scarlett and I are staying in most of the day. We may go to the park and play a while. I too would rather pay the extra and not fuss with it all. |

My hubby is out fighting the Walmart crowd for me. Then to old navy. Him and his brother enjoy doing this every year. Not sure why.....but go for it. Lol As long as I get my Shark steam mop I will be happy. :) |
My anxiety keeps me from doing it but I don't want to anyway lol .I actually have a dentist appointment tomorrow not looking forward to the traffic. I might stop by petsmart to get Callie a few things if its not busy. |
I dont do Black Friday mainly because the vast majority of my xmas shopping is done but we are buying a treadmill on Cyber Monday. Alot of My shopping I do online. We are also wanting to buy this electric fireplace thing and its $20 cheaper if you buy it from Sams Club online but I want to see if it goes on sale Monday. I hope everyone that goes out finds some good deals |
Just got back from shopping at Walmart, Target and Kohls. It was CRAZY!!! We basically just go for the fun of it. |
Woo hoo! Hubby got my steam mop! Last one in the store!!! He said people were going absolutely bonkers in that store! Lol! He also picked up the new Wii console :) |
My DS talked me into going with him to Walmart for a HDTV that was on sale at midnight. We stood in line for 3 hours for a ticket. Luckily our Walmart had security there so no one could break line and they counted the people in line, so we knew we wouldn't stand there for 3 hrs and not get a tv. I never do black Friday as I prefer to shop online, but we got the 2 tv's and had a blast watching the crazy people fighting over small kitchen appliances. It was like sharks in a feeding frenzy. I am pooped and have to work this morning...I will never do this again. |
We battle Walmart (where 2 grown women were acting like children over $5 DVD's, then Target which was a flop & then Kohl's. Kohl's was HORRIBLE. The people weren't, it just took us almost 4 HOURS to check out! And I was up for over 24 hours so I'm beat.:p I saved much more than I spent & will likely brave it again next year. I wish it didn't start at midnight though, it takes a lot of fun out of getting up early. |
update on black friday search for computer. When dh got to Best Buy the line was very long. There were employees stationed along the line at intervals with head phones. He asked one about the bundle and they sd very limited supply and would prob be gone by the time he got in the store. Dh left and cld me i went online to order it and it was sold out. should have went with my gut and ordered earlier. Fast forward to Friday morning about 7 am dh decides to go get breakfast and he went by Best Buy to see if any other computers on sale still. They had 2 of the bundles available by a register. When he was taking one to the counter, they put another one out. So I got my computer today. Cleaning off my desk now so went can set it up. So excited. :p |

I do Black Friday shopping every year with my neighbor and her Brother. None of us have family near by so we usually will eat our Thanksgiving dinner together, rest and head out around 8:00 pm. We have been doing this for years and are pretty experienced, the crowds don't bother me and we usually get everythng on our list. This year we went to Walmart, Target (me), Kohls (them), Lowes, Home Depot and Ace Hardware. |
We ended up getting a great deal on a treadmill that has a screen and internet on it so we are excited. We even got a deal on the warranty. My Husband put one in his cart but didnt hit purchase and they told him they would mark it down another 10 percernt and it was already marked down just for yesterday then they gave us a deal on the warranty so we are excited. So that is our black Friday purchase and our christmas present |
