OMGosh, I just can't take it anymore! I swear if I see one more abused dog or porn pic show up on my face book news feed I will have to crawl in a hole and just die! :( My facebook is basically kept for business reasons and because of that I have near 1000 "freinds" on it. I am so sick to death of photos showing up of abused and maimed dogs and now in the last couple of days porn pics. I can get over the porn but the abused dogs are keeping me up at night. I check my facebook and and then try to go to bed and I can't sleep for hours on end because I have it burned into my brain. :( I can click the hide this post so I don't have to see it anymore but by then it is too late, I have seen it and can't make it go away.:(:thumbdown Ugggh, No reason for this post I suppose but to vent...It's 3 am and I need to try and sleep now. Can't just seen the worst one yet... |
I hear ya! One of my best friends is involved in a local rescue group and every other post of hers is about dogs about to be euthanized or abused/starving strays that are found. I rarely open the post to view it further. It's so sad, but it also makes me so angry that people are wrecklessly breeding dogs that no one wants. |
I can not even describe the latest one that has shown up! I wish I had to open them to see them but instead as I scroll though the newsfeeds, there it is. Horrible photos. :( |
Since your FB page is for business, why don't make a new page as a business page and not a person page? Then you invite all that are on your friends list to "like" your business page. You won't see any and all news feed of all these people on your business page. Only when they specifically post on your page. I know it's a bit of a hassle, but if it's keeping you up at night, I'd give it a try. Let them know you will be shutting down the first page, and if they want to stay in contact, they will have to "like" your new page. |

I think I will wait to do that as I do also like being able to keep up with my "friends" and their business through the news feed. I have been told that it is a hacker causing all these photos and not the actual people posting them and that FB is working on getting it under control. I do hope they are! I had 8-10 of them yesterday and today not a one yet so hopefully they are getting a handle on it. |
I know as far as the business pages, you can click that little gear by each post, and it will say "delete post" and "delete post and ban user". I've had to use that once. Is there a way you could do that? I wonder if the personal pages are like that too. But you can always do a business page where people have to "like" it, and then people who you are actually interested in their news feed you can friend them, then their news will show up on your personal page. |
