I just wanted to say so sorry you lost your job! I know it has to be majorly frustrating! Hugs to you! |
Gosh, I'm so sorry this happened to you. That manager sounds like a freaking wacko, funny how people like that get into a position of power and let it go to their head. So she gave you her passwords so you could do HER work, sounds like to me:mad: I wonder if the higher-ups will ever wake up to the fact that no one can work with that woman for very long, hmmm..... People are so messed up! This will probably turn out to be a blessing in disguise, there is something better out there for you;) |
Double post weirdness. Gave me the "you must wait 30 seconds spiel" Then I tried again, and see it here twice:p |
Oh, I am so sorry you had to go through this! As others have mentioned, this just might be a blessing in disguise. I had an experience where a new manager terminated me with no real cause. I later discovered someone who had worked with this manager at 3 previous companies. At all 3 companies, she came in and cleaned house in order to bring in her own people. When I went through this, my sister told me that I had known for a while that I needed to get out of that job. She said God had already tapped me on the shoulder and I didn't pay attention. She said getting fired was God's way of thumping me upside the head! LOL, I firmly believe my sister was right. The job I lost was the worst, most stressful job I ever had. My next and current job is wonderful! I believe God was truly trying to move me in another direction. It is just the worst feeling and so much stress! I'm don't know what the laws are in your state, but where I live we have "employment at will". In other words, they can fire you for without cause, for whatever reason they want, provided you are not being discriminated against. Whatever else happens, I hope you find a new position where you are appreciated and valued! |
Thanks again to everyone. I'm still reeling over how someone could turn on me so quickly, especially since I truly gave my all to the company (in hopes of one day getting another promotion). But I guess it's true, it must've been a blessing in disguise because my mom told me she was speaking to her doctor and he apparently needs someone for his office and he told her to have me go see him this week! The most wonderful part about this is that she told him I'm going to school to become a registered nurse and he said he could be flexible with my schedule if need be. Plus, it's *very* difficult to get any position in the medical field without prior experience, and this would help me tremendously! If I do get the job, I will not back down on fighting to claim my short-lived unemployment though. And I will be armed with my evidence to make them pay up lol. Thanks again everyone. :) |
Awesome news! Hope you get the job! :) |
