Interesting thread! I agree that teens and adults are too old to be trick or treating. One year I had a young mom with a baby in arms and the grandma who all had bags for the treats. Another year, a pregnant teenager. After that, we closed the doors and decided to hide out in the back of the house. We felt that it was getting ridiculous. This year I've had a change of heart as there are two very young kids next door. So...I bought candy and will hand out treats for the early hours and the little ones. |

sad to say, there are people that are having such a difficult time they could not afford that. I see it at my school, in my neighborhood. I am blessed, I can - but I choose to buy the better candy and limit my "treats" to the younger children. |
