Anyone else P.O.'d? I don't like that that Chris person (male?female?) pulled that scam with the Yorkie models. |
Are you talking about the person who had the thread saying they wanted yorkie models? Was that a scam? |
I googled the user name - I thought it was a scam too and only posted Chanels pic to see what happened - and nothing happened. I did find his template for the dog clothing site and what I didn't like was it was in a foreign language and not nearly done. I would guess he didn't contact any of the people with the gorgeous pictures in that thread ? How do you know he scammed us ? I think you're probably right.... but do you know this for real ? I was afraid that might be a scam. I'm not mad about it though....As big as the internet world is I'm suprised it doesn't happen here more often! This place is too good to worry about one occasional bad apple in the bunch :) |
I thought it might be after the PM I sent was never opened. That is so mean! It just confirms to me that you can't trust people like you use to be able to do. How sad! :cry8: T. |

I didnt put pictures up of my dogs but I feel sorry for everyone who did and was misled. Its a shame I remember the person who started the thread was good about answering everyones questions and seemed to be legit at the time at least. This is sad. |
I figured it was but I'm not upset about it. There are scammers everywhere. I feel for those that thought it was legit and I'm sorry you got hurt. It's just something we have to deal with when dealing with people on the net. |

Those were cute pictures of everyone's pups...Everyone put on their best face! I am a little mad that someone would get everyone's hopes up like he did...Not very nice! |
Not a big deal. It was just answering an ad. Nobody got hurt and that is the most important. There is no reason to be angry. There are sooooooo many beautiful Yorkies to choose from, it would have taken him a very long time, maybe we scared him away LOL!!!!!!!! |

Usually they do not publicly announce who they have chosen, they would proably do it by private email, and since it is a holiday weekend and it has only been a few days since the thread, they are probably still intending to use a few of the dogs on here. Things just don't happen that fast in the business world and it doesn't sound like their business was quite ready for the models just yet maybe. Keep the faith....think poistive! |

I wanted to post pics of my girls, as i was typing a reply post i changed my mind and deleted it, but i had a great time seeing all these beautiful yorkie pics! I hope it wasnt a scam, maybe this person will pick someone and inform the member about it by mail ;) |
Yeah all I can say is we all got to see some pretty Yorkie models. There was so many beautiful babies. Thats what Im wondering about the thread that said free dreeses and some of us sent in articals and the guy said we all won a dress.Hum I never received a dress???????????Did anyone else? |
I think it was a scam and didnt trust it from the beginning so chose not to post any of my babies. i think that some people like to get their hands on pics of beautiful yorkies to pose off as their own on websites, ect...who knows but i have heard of this happening with puppy mill type people and especially brokers since they dont raise the puppies/dogs they sale, they have been know to steal pics of other people's dogs/puppies and say they are their's. so mean!!!!! but, on the good side of this, i got to know just about everyone's yorkies! watch out "guess the yorkie" i have a referral now to go back too. HA HA just wanted to add, it's COLD here tonight. is it freezing at any of your houses? my yorkies are all piled up in one big doggy pile...on their flannel blanket. so cute! my babies are nice and cozy with their mommy and their heat pad. i have a fire going, and the furnace on low and still have my throw around my shoulders.....brrrrrrrrrrr |

It really does not bother me I fell for for it :rolleyes:Im guilty of being a stage mom haha but it didn't cause me any pain other than I got to post Pictures! And we all created a photo album :p No shame here! |

Or did they just want what we thought was the best of the best? I know at work we have copyrighted images, and it's a real pain to chase down people that take them and use them without permission. We have a PR person that works with a lawyer to handles it, but I imagine the average person wouldn't go to that expense and trouble. I agree it is still too early to expect an answer but this guy didn't even give us the name of his wholesale company ( because there are other retailers on this site from his co) Yeh!! Sure. Lots of people whould like pics of yorkies for their clothing business, it doesn't necessarily have to be the actual clothes they are selling and if they are like Villette, he can put his clothes on our little dogs picture. Having it all on one site is a great help to him and I don't think we can blame anyone but ourselves. What did txshopper say "Hook Line and Sinker" BUT if you ever see one of our pictures on a puppy mill site there will be hell to pay. |
