Growing up I was always one of the smallest kids in the class, so naturally I was called Shorty, Half-Pint, Midget, etc. It used to kind of make me mad, but when high school came around, it was in another town with other kids. I started to call myself "Shorty" , mainly to take the sting out of it. I worked! Almost 35 years later, some folks still remember my nickname better than my name.:p My husband, who is the love of my life, started calling me Fart Blossom when we were dating. I know it sound like a derogatory term, but even my Daddy used to call me this when I was little. It is a very Southern endearment. :D |
My family calls me chelle and dh calls me chelle belle. |
I have never had a nickname besides maybe Lis.....;) |
The only nickname I come close to having is all of my nieces and nephews call me Aunt Shell |

I always thought my name was Suzy until I went to school and they called me by my real name, which is Kathy...I couldn't understand why everybody was calling me a name I had never heard of. I was so upset, my mom had to explain to me that Kathy was my name, they just always called me Suzy as a nick-name. It was very strange and kinda weird. |
My dad who just recently passed away (August) called me "Princess" or "Baby Doll" until the day he died. It is special just thinking about it.:) |
I'm Christina, those close to me call me Stina, or Aunt Stina. A friend calls me Stina Lena, but that's about it. I'm the one known for giving all of the rest of the family nicknames. It's fun, and usually ridiculous.:D |

I love nick names. My real name is Ronessa. Mom's Va(nessa) and dad is (Ro)land. So yeah it has meaning but I hated it growing up. Everyone kept calling me Vanessa. Uh..no, it's my moms name. So when I was in 5-6th grade I told everyone my name was Roni. And it still stuck. My family calls me Nessa or Ness. My hubby's side and friends calls me Roni. My hubby calls me hun, and my kids and the kids that I babysit all call me Mommy. :D |
Only strangers call me Teresa, my friends call me Reese. DL calls me Mama T. Sisters and Mom call me Reesie, Brother calls me Treese (like the peanutbutter candy cup) Daddy called me Baby Reese and # 1 Baby. First husband (RIP) always called me Honey Reese. New Hubby calls me Reese and Sweet T . Whew... about 60years of nick names. |

I don't have a lot of nicknames, most people just call me "Brit". I had one uncle who always called me "Britster" (hence my username, LOL). Oh and my little brother, Connor, always called me "Nittney" because he could not pronounce my name. I will always cherish that nickname. :) |
Other than Pris (boring) or one friend calls me Scilla, my dad has a nickname for me but it can't be spelled in english. |
