Sand dollars- any crafty ideas? I have come upon about 100 sand dollars- any thoughts on what to do with them? |
Hmmm. You could take them down to the Krusty Crab and buy yourself some crabby patties! :p LOL Sorry. :) I was trying to think of something but have not a creative bone in my body right now. I think sand dollars are so pretty though. They always make me think of the legend of the sand dollar which makes me think Christmas...ornaments maybe? |
When my kids were young they made xmas ornaments with glue and glitter and I hung them on my tree for years. Still have a few but most have gone to sand dollar heaven. |

I came home with a bag of seashells from a visit at my friend's house. I put them in a glass dish on display. When I look at them I think of my best friend! Maybe you could put your sand dollars on display someplace in the house. |
how about a sand dollar wreath? Use a foam or straw form and glue the sand dollars to it.. add shells or other "filler" You could do it natural for a beach theme Good luck btw.. I cheated.. I Google crafts with sand dollars and saw the wreath idea.lol |

Crabby Patties! ROFL! You made me laugh! I was thinking a wreath too would be nice and so cute! You'd have it ready for summer next year. |
What are the sizes? In Hawaii a lot of people do tons of crafty stuff with it. :D |
oooo look at all of you crafty people!! LOVE IT!! They range from about half an inch to maybe 5 inches. |
hmmm, let's see: wreath, like Lis Sis suggested, glue around a mirror, glue around a picture frame - I know you have a few pictures of cutie Layla boating :D a mobile with fishing line, and something I saw with seashells - tie several strings of them on long ribbon or fishing line and make a window valance. You can string straight across, or shape the valance on an arc. I've always thought this was so pretty. Good luck. |

My mom also made her bathroom an ocean theme. So she glued shells randomly around her mirrors, on soap dispenser, to the plastic around her light switch, on the shower curtain hangers, the end of her towel racks. :) It's really pretty. |
