I don't have a son so thank god I don't have to directly worry about any kind of tails.:shocked7q But dd is completely embracing the 80's fashions:cool:-YUCK! She's getting school shoes this week & she's getting some Keds. Those things look flat just like the Tom shoes...and just as undesirable to me.:p She said she doesn't like them (Tom's) though she tried to "startle" me & asked for some of the men's ones in the store:eek:. She's looney.:wink5:

LoL!! Omg that is too much!! I love it. My DH had the worse hair style in the 80's he is older than me, I was born in 81 and he was born in 78, he told me he had a pony tail, but half of it was shaved.. Like underneath.... LoL Ive seen pics, it was pretty ugly!!

This brings back memories. My oldest son wore a "tail" when he 4 years old but we had to cut it off when he started kindergarten (Catholic school-strict rules about hair etc.).

The shoes are ugly, but I love the concept. I've seen those on kids. They look like ninja shoes to me.

Ha ha those look like "Vans" a shoe that was very popular in California in the 80's. As soon as my dad wanted some, my boys didn't think they were so cool. My dad would have loved the toms too, he was into slippers and boat shoes.

This is what we called a ducktail.Attachment 352115 The sides were combed straight back à la, Elvis and the back looked weird. Usually, there was a superman type of curl on the forehead. Attachment 352122

Hate the rattail, don't know why mom's seem to encourage it? Billy Ray did look good in a mullet though. :D

Hey, I had the half shaved pony tail! But that was during the early 90s.

Vans are still very popular here, as there are a lot of skateboarders here. Bf wears them he says they're really comfy. They're so padded that he claims he doesn't feel it when be steps on my feet. :rolleyes:
