What are you favorite Vegas shows? We are thinking maybe a Cirque du Soleil but maybe those are too expensive. Or maybe a magic show. What are you favorites and how much did it cost for the tickets. We have a month to plan, and it will be mid week, this will be a mostly business trip, with a bit of much needed vaca thrown in. Only two days, one night, so really, only one show. |
I haven't been in a few years, but I love the Cirque shows and they can be expensive. They do have a couple of 1/2 price ticket places in Vegas if you want to gamble on what is available when you get there. I haven't seen magic there since Siegfried and Roy performed. I always wanted to see Copperfield, but he was never there when we were there. He's probably as expensive as a Cirque show. I've heard Nathan Burton is pretty good though. |
My husband LOVED Blue Man Group - me, it was ok. It's a lot of slapstick humor. You can get deals on the tickets if you buy online. If you can order tickets ahead of time w your schedule, you might want to try online. |
I really haven't been to any shows here (I know - shame on me) but there are soo many to choose from. What are you interested in? Magic, showgirl type, comedy, music or production (Cirque du Soleil)? I'm not sure how much lower the price would be but I think that residents get a discount. I'd be happy to help you out. Let me know if there's something I can look into for you. And yes, the tickets should be cheaper if you go during the week. :) |
I went to Vegas about 2 months ago and saw hypnotist, Marc Savard. It was one of the best, most entertaining shows I have ever seen and I highly recommend it. My parents saw the show a few weeks later and loved it as much as I did. If I remember correctly, tickets were no more than $25 each. Here's some info Marc Savard Las Vegas You buy your tickets at any of the tix4tonight stands on the strip. |
My favorite is the Beatles Cirque Show, its called "Love" and it is at the Mirage. Sometimes you can get deals if you look around online- we got pretty cheap seats when we went and it was AMAZING! Plus, it doesn't matter where you sit because there are no bad seats in the theater. |
Also- if you want something slightly different- I highly recommend "Tina and Tony's Wedding"- it used to be at the Rio but I think it moved now. It was so much fun, it is interactive- ticket price includes an Italian Buffet Dinner, Champagne and Dessert, there is a cash bar. You are part of the show, it really is a great night- you really feel like you are crashing someone else's wedding, except they are happy to have you there. |
If you haven't seen Blue Man Group or Cirque before, they are worth the price. Definitely something everyone should do once. I love Vegas. Enjoy it! :) |
I can't get over how expensive these shows are! I was looking around last night and basically they are about $100/person. On Yelp, the Beatles Cirque ranked #1. #2 was a show called Absinthe, which is kind of a take off on Zumanity, but a lot more crude in a good way. Even though it's a smaller show, it's still about $100/ticket after all the fees. I hate fees. |
They are expensive, but in all fairness, Cirque is very expensive everywhere it shows. Have you seen it before? If not, I'd do the basic one. I think both Cirque and Blue Man are amazing. However, I saw 'Jersey Boys' last time I was there, and I think that was more reasonable. It's much less popular, and we got primo seats at the last minute. Do you like any songs by 'Four Seasons'? |
If you grew up with the Beatles I would recommend "Love". Otherwise I would go see "KA" or "Mystere". It is expensive, but its well worth the money. The costumes are unbelievable, and that is one reason I wouldn't spend the money for Zumanity. |
QS, no actually I don't think I know Four Seasons. I don't think bf would like Blue Man. Valerie, why is Zumanity not worth it bc of the costumes? Their costumes aren't as elaborate you mean? I've never seen a Cirque show in person, only on tv. How much am I looking at here per ticket? What can I expect for last minute prices? I'm having a tough time justifying $200 min for two tickets now. We said we don't do the club thing anymore, so we should go see a show, but never have we spent $200 for one night at a club, so it's not like where taking money we would have spent at one place and spending it at another. Money's a bit better for us, but not $200 better. LOL |
Really? From what I know of you two, you'd like Blue Man Group. I don't know, I saw it a long time ago (over ten years, yikes!!), maybe it's changed. If you've seen Cirque on tv, I'd go for Blue Man Group. It was kind of fun to see Jersey Boys because it turns out that everyone knows songs by Four Seasons - we just don't know they wrote them! Like, "What a Night". Very Broadway, if you are into that kind of thing. |

Reese1 suggested the 1/2 price discount places on the strip. The day of the performance they are marked down, if there are any tickets left. Also, surf the net for discount tickets. Sometimes they have specials. Check with the hotel you're staying at. Some offer discounts. I've seen several of the traveling shows and 4 of the Cirque shows in Vegas and I've never been disappointed. The first time my daughter wanted me to go I thought it was too expensive, but after seeing one show I was hooked. A lot of the performers are former Olypians. Watching it on TV doesn't compare to seeing it in person. Especially, KA where the stage tilts to be perpendicular with the floor. I'm waiting for the new Michael Jackson traveling show to come here. I think the music would be awesome. |
My adult daughter, husband, & I all agree "O" by Cirque du Soleil was the Best! Amazing performance to see in person!! The water appears on stage, disappearing @times....it's very intriguing. It was expensive, but one we didn't regret. Have Fun! |
