The Phenomenon of Grieving Dogs The phenomenon of grieving dogs: The ultimate loyalty - The Week What a sweet link that shows the loyalty of man and dog. |
I cried through this, animals are so amazing. I use to take care of elderly people. One of my workers fourn her female patient deceased in her home ( probabbly 2 days) her chihuahua was laying on her on the couch and would not let anyone come near her not even the rescue people. Finally they were able to get the dog to leave her so they could remove her body. A family member took her dog. Thanks for sharing. |
This link made me cry. It is amazing the loyalty these animals are capable of. They really put us humans to shame w their ability to unconditionally love. It's funny you posted that link. In a set of pics you posted recently, I noticed the way Jackson looked with you in the photo. You could see the love in his eyes for his mommy. Hope he's feeling more like himself! |

How amazing... What loyalty! |
Someone posted this comment on that article. I'm not surprised. Only the humans were thrown out of the Garden of Eden. It's the animals who, nowadays, help us to remember how it used to be. I couldn't say it better myself! :) |
My mom and dad had a 14 year old Jack Russell Terrier. After my dad died 5 years ago, "Sugar" became attached to my mom. They became BFFs. I always prayed that "Sugar" would be around until my mother passed away. It turned out that way. Two weeks after mom passed away (April 1, 2011), "Sugar" went to the Rainbow Bridge. She literally died of a broken heart. She would sit at my mother's bedroom door, crying. My brother took her to his home which was out mom's backdoor. It would do no good, because "Sugar" wanted to "go home to momma". He let her spend the night in "momma's" house, just like she wanted to, and when he went for her the next morning, she had passed away at my mom's door. She was such a good, faithful and loving dog. |
