More Bad News
 
As many of you know, I lost my precious Katie girl this past Sunday. And then an even worse tragedy struck -- I lost my beloved mother the very next day (Monday). As if things could not get any worse, we now have some more terrible news.

My hubby Jim's younger sister Christina (she's only 21 years old) was diagnosed with Lupus the very next day after my mother passed away (Tuesday). So please pray for Christina. We're waiting for her more extensive blood test results to come back so that we can find out what type of Lupus she has -- apparently there are 3 different types.

Jim's poor mother and father have already lost 1 out of their 4 children. Jim had a younger brother named Brandon who died almost 2 years ago. Brandon was 17 years old and a senior in high school. One night while Brandon was sleeping, he fell into a diabetic coma and never woke up. So please pray for Jim's family and pray that his parents do not lose a second child.

Hi Jennifer,

I am sorry to hear about all of the trials you are going through. I want you to know I and others on this site are praying and will be praying for you and your family.

I am diabetic, so I know how your husband's parents must be feeling.

I am truly sorry to hear your sister-in-law. Try not to be totally discouraged. Lupus is a disease a person can live with today and have a very productive life. There will be good days and bad, but I know several people doing very well with this disease.
At one time it was all but hopeless, not anymore..God bless your family.

jen , i am so sorry for everything that has happened to you.. i am definetly praying for you and your family...you have gone through so much lately and i know its not fair... you will be in my thoughts and prayers everyday, you and all your family... god bless you and please take care of yourself... we are here for you...

Please accept my condolences on the lifes lost. I will be saying prayers for you and your family at these difficult times. I could not even imagine the pain you all are going through, really helps me keep things in perspective.

Oh Jen - I just finished writing you and that is so so sad....Your family will have to really be strong to get thru your tragedys...your poor heart.

You have my deepest condolences and also to your husband and his family.....You will get thru this awful time but please remember to take care of yourself too - It's so easy to want to curl up and close out the world...I hope you can come to terms with this all one day....I know you must still be in shock....but your mom would want you to be strong...

How is your dad holding up ? Please give him my deepest sympathies on losing his wife....

I am very sorry to hear about your family's hardships. We do have a sister site, LupusTalk.com (www.lupustalk.com) which may be of some use to Christina. It is a rather small community right now, but there are a few with lupus on there currently.

I am so sorry. My sister-in-law had Lupus and had it since her early 20's. She finally gave up on her 42 birthday and we lost her. But she stopped taking her medicine. Her death could have been preventable So tell her not to stop taking hers and she will be okay. Kathy (my sister in-law) was very sweet, had two wonderful kids, and a very devoted husband. Let us know how things are. We hope the sun shines soon for you and your family.

I was diagnosed with Lupus when I was 22 (I'll be 29 soon). It is not as bad as one would initally think. Please PM me if you have questions. I have done a lot of research and have a wonderful doctor - I have made a few lifestyle changes and I really to feel good. I lead a very active life!

You are in my thoughts!

Jenn, you and your family are in my prayers. Lupus was something my doctor's thought I had and I did a lot of research. Thank God I didn't have it but I learned a lot! She can have a happy, normal life. There is a ton of information out there, hopefully she will take advantage of it. Take care of yourself, you can't let yourself get sick from all of the worry and sadness.

Jennifer, how can you be expected to take so very much all at one time?Some how God will give you the strength to carry on and believe me there
will be so many better days ahead. Try to look for the rainbow on your
shoulder. Your Mom and Gracie will put it there!! Prayers coming for all of you.

My heart just breaks for you. I felt so bad reading about Katie and was just in disbelief about your Mom. I can't imagine that much pain and loss in less than 2 days. When I just saw this thread and was reading and you said things got worse, I said out loud "Oh noooooooo" and was afraid to read on. I will continue to pray for you and your husband and your families. Thank God you and Jim have eachother. I pray that you will be able to have a nice Thanksgiving. I know it will be a hard one. My heart goes out to you....
