IPOD/IPHONE APP: Pets Next Door
 
this app its kind of cool, you see every animal (that registered with PND) around you. theres not much yorkie's around here. so when i saw someone registered i got to excited. anybody have this app?

At first I thought that was a pretty good idea, but then I thought, I really don't want thieves and dogknappers to know I only have one defenseless yorkie. Seems like it’s invasion of privacy, do they give your exact address?

Here's the website, is it like this? Pets Next Door. I think they only give your name if you request it, Joey's name isn't on this map, and he's licensed with the city. Cute idea, you could find some playmates.

I agree.. I dont feel comfortable at all with that. I have a friend who lost 6 chi's after a strange visit to see her puppies.. imagine what these kind can do having all the information they need over the internet.. :confused:

They don't take your address or your name
The location isn't specific its would say your in this vicinity. Unless you like in a 2k acre of land and your the only house on a hill.
The only thing there is is a blog story of gremlin & his picture.
This app welcomes fake pets too, so the thieves have to "wing-it" if there's really a real pet in the house. Some people in here have 20 yorkies. Or 10 rottweilers. You have to look really deep if their real or not.

Its just for fun

Yeah, that sounds pretty safe. Just to be safe, I'd say I also had a a couple of Rottweillers!
