Good Granite Cleaner? My countertops are bugging me. I've tried a lot of products, but it always leaves them dull...unless I spend a lot of time buffing after I clean it. Apparently, you're not supposed to use vinegar on granite bc of how acidic it is, so that's out. The recent one I tried was Simple Green Stone cleaner (for granite, marble, blah blee). I'm thinking of trying ![]() Has anyone tried this, or anything else that leaves it shiny in one step? (SprayAway has ![]() |
I use this: ![]() I'm fairly happy about it. Granite is tough to keep streak free. I think you'll be very happy with this product as it creates a wonderful shine. There is also a granite polish made under the same brand. The smell is absolutely wonderful and will make your whole kitchen smell amazingly clean! Oh, i just read the reviews and someone says it has an unpleasant scent. Hmmm.... |
I buy very few commerical cleaning products. For my granite counters, I take a spray bottle and fill it with 1/3 cup rubbing alcohol, 3 drops of Dawn dish liquid, and then fill with water. It cleans & shines them beautifully :). |
I use the Method daily granite..works and smells wonderful. Apply with a microfiber cloth. |
I use plain old Windex and a cotton towel or washcloth. It cuts right through the grease and leaves them sparkling clean. |

I would love to find something too. I found my granite always looks dull. I thought maybe it was the color. It is black and has never looked shiny. |

The kitchen's black granite shows everything from grease to finger prints. The windex really cuts the grease film and it's cheap. I've tried some cleaners for granite and keep going back to the windex. |

I will keep this on my list, in case I don't like that one I just ordered. Thanks! :) |

When we got our granite counters we were told not to use products that have alcohol.. and ammonia. I use pledge.. the back shows all the surfaces it can be used on. My counters look great five years latter... well except when dh makes a sandwich or lunch. They would look great if I could train him to clean up after himself! |
