We are under a severe thunderstorm watch, here to the north of you, "capable of producing quarter-size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60mph".

I was just getting ready to go out to happy hour with friends, and now I'm not sure :confused:.

If you are expecting what we have in Macomb, then I would stay put. It's not good. Looks very nasty out. I came back upstairs though. Looks like the worst of it is not hitting right here.

It is. :) But now it has settled down a bit, so no excuses. And it's stopping me from getting Furgirl her new antibios.:mad: I don't like when she has to wait.:mad:

Stupid storms. The power just flickered. This should be fun.:mad::mad::mad:

Glad that one passed on by you...but stay alert just the same. We don't get to many tornado watches here. I always convince myself...my mountains will protect me. ;)

Yay, glad it's settling.

I miss storms so much! I love them. Here in Phoenix, we'll get a few drops and everyone is just ecstatic, and in the best mood - and talking about it to everyone they can. On Twitter, everyone starts Tweeting about "the drops, the drops!" - it's so funny. We're in Monsoon season now, but it's so rare that we get a fabulous Monsoon. When they do happen - AWESOME.

Ugh, we hate them. Spring is so wet here. And the world has to stop when there is a tornado threat.

A couple weeks ago we had some flooding. A foot bridge near us was under water. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

It was pouring earlier and I think it was yesterday too.

I am so with you!! I hate when we have to deal with bad weather! I get so sick of being in the safe room. And it is always soooo much fun when the electric goes off. So, sorry you are dealing with this today!

It was intense rain here, but for a very short period of time. I passed up on going out to happy hour, (I'm in the middle of one of a sunroom addition and didn't want the tarp blowing away & rain getting in while I was gone), so my friends came over here. We had frozen, ready to drink, Dailey's daiquiris. They were sooooo good. They come in a pouch (kind of like a large Capri Sun), already have alcohol in them, and you just freeze them and they go all slushy. Yummy! Anyone else tried them?

Hopefully the storm passed and you are out of the basement now.

We can relate to your post. The girls and I have certainly spent some time in the basement this spring during all the siren warnings.
