Ain't that the truth!! :rolleyes::rolleyes: |
Since my oldest was always trying my patience...I came up with something when I thought she was being dishonest. It was called "True Confessions Day" and on that day, you could confess anything you had done to clear your conscious and there would be no penalty...lol!:rolleyes: Today...my kids will tell you that it was just a trick that I pulled on them cuz, later I would know all of their lil' secret ways they used to get away with stuff... and, it worked!:D |

My son would confess till his skin turned blue.:love:.....DD would deny till the same result :rolleyes: |
Even tho' girls come with a endless supply of drama...I would take that ten times over vs. having to listen to boys make all their little annoying noises all day & night long...just to irritate me...lol! And what did I get...three boys and two girls! |

Yes, they are and its cheaper to maintain them too! :thumbup: |
Our girls are now 21 & 24, and after reading some of these posts I can honestly say our girls did not give us any problems growing up. Now they were not perfect by any means, but I cannot imagine my girls acting like we "owed" them something and being so disrespectful:eek: My calls still say "yes mam/sir", "please" and "thank you". I could not be more proud of them and the way they have turned out:) We did not give them everything they thought they should have growing up. They did not go without, but by no means did we spoil them. |

lets consider lowering that to Minimum bid of 5 bucks?? ;) |
I just wish my DS would grow up :( But, I blame DH...he has always given them everything and they never had to work for it, bad mistake!!! Luckily our oldest is a mature 30 year old with a family that he supports very well and on his own:) |

However, I'm not sure but, maybe Craig's List is an option...lol!:D |

undesired pests? :love: |
Now my two are off at college on their own, I get random calls & texts thanking me for always being there for them and for how they were raised and asking if I know just how much they love me :). A few years ago, I couldn't have even imagined that would ever happen.... |

Well, Michelle...I used to assure young Moms when they were complaining about the potty training stage, "Now honey, I can assure you by the time Johnny or Janie gets into High School...they'll be trained!":D However, I can't say the same for indulging ones children and it's become a growing epidemic that I see the effects of more and more working with the elderly in the home health care giving business. Their adult children are sometimes "still" living at home and "still"dependent on their parents...and they don't even help out "still"!:( |

If you knew my DD in highschool, you'd sure think so!!! But, as they are usually at 2am or later...it's probably drunk-dialing...damn...and they seem so sincere...lol |
