It's weird. I used to embrace new tech, but now I really struggle with it. So lame. Maybe the hubs bought me the ipad bc he knew it wouldn't work for me . I did get a new Acer in Dec and I love it! |
Well, join the can't figure out the flippin iPAD club. Of course I'm an Apple chick all the way. Tried this thing at the phone store and was like, what? Confused. How does this thing WORK?? Hmm. Better walk away slowly before I mess the thing up. But hey, maybe I just need one of my own to try. BTW, my more than tech savvy BIL (Apple nut) doesn't love it either. I just started using iCal which is no help to you. I'm told you can sync it with Google Calendar (so you can merge yours and your husband's calendars). I love iCal because each type of thing/activity is in a different color for easy separation in my brain. There is also a running to do list on the side. I too have thought about a planner/paper system so I don't have to have my MacBook with me, but oh well. We are inseparable anyway. No idea how people can stay organized with sticky notes. They drive me crazy. I like to make my short around the house to do lists out on dry erase board because it's more fun to get to erase, etc. Is that not ridiculous? lol |
My fridge is the hub . I have a magnetized list pad, put everything on there re household stuff. like groceries, calling this that or the other person for home repairs,e tc. For work I use my blackberry - all my appts go in there and todo for work, of course phone#'s and email addy's etc. Mostly though; I have to a) remember to look at my blackberry b) take the fridge list with me. lol I use post it notes for doc visits/vet visits et al. Can't type too well on the small blackberry keyboard |
2 Attachment(s) I'm a big lister maker too although now I usually make my lists on my iphone in the notes section over the course of a few days and then transfer them to a piece of paper to carry around inside the store. Just because the phone keeps timing out and I have to reopen it to look. My girls got me this little notebook thingy for Mother's Day. It's from the Hallmark store. Not sure if you can tell from the pics but it's about 2.5" by 4.5" and it's a real thin, light hard metal. When you pull the pen out of the side, it opens up. I love this thing because it's so tiny but hard so it doesn't get all squished up in my purse. I used to laugh at my mom when I was little because she was always writing stuff down. If she thought of something at work that needed to be done or told to someone at home that night she would write it on a strip of paper and then staple it around her purse strap. If she just wrote it down and put it inside her purse, she would forget to look in her purse for it. Now that I'm grown with teenage kids, I totally get it!! |
Now what was it I was going to say.....Geeezzzzzzz...can't remember will get back when I do......:D;):) |

**It's reassuring that others use multiple methods too..I kinda thought it was just me. I'm really starting to resent PostIts and 3M in general. |

Just in case you don't know, you can have "sticky notes" on Windows 7 - as soon as you type one, it's saved, and you can have them all over your desktop. There are keyboard commands to underline words, etc. |
How about an iPhone? My dh and I share a google calendar account which is synced to both our computers and both phones. We put all things we need to do on our calendar so when the day starts, all we need to do is look at our calendars. We always have our phones with us so we can check what needs to get done along the way. |
