I love Eating It, I just can't COOK IT!!!!! With the holidays coming everyone has something they are looking forward to eating...But, maybe you don't make it as great( it might even suck) as someone else so you have been waiting on this ALL YEAR!!! 1. Homemade Gravy( turkey gravy is not supposed to be dark, with lumps) 2. Cakes form scratch( I baked a cake that "CHILDREN" wouldn't touch with a Ten foot Pole!! |
hahaha - I used to make GREAT gravy - but now mine sucks too ! Unless a cake is frosted already and in a nice pretty container - we don't have cake in my house cause I am a terrible baker - great cook - bad baker |
I love homemade Gravy. I always make it. |
I love Turkey and "Pernil"(pork shoulder). Im a horrible cook. My husband cooks in our house. :) |

I'm going to in-laws this year, and bless her heart, my MIL is a REALLY bad cook! Every thing is always cold because she cooks the day before and microwaves right before serving. The first dish is already cold by the time the last dish makes it out of the microwave. She never cooks veggies, and knows I like them, so one time she microwaved frozen broccoli and when she served it, it was still in the square shape of the container! lol Then there was the time she cooked the turkey upside down. Looked funny, but was actually the moistest turkey she ever served! :D Bless her heart!! |
Oh yeah. A gravy 'trick'.... Use Wondra to thicken your gravy and you won't get lumps. You usually find it in the baking section in a round cardboard container-like salt only taller and narrower. It works on anything you might need to thicken, soups, etc. |

I am going to try to bake a cake next week, I will let you all know hot it comes out. |
I uaually cook my Turkey Upside down too!!! It's better that way...LOL All the juices run down into the meat instead of down to the botom part that is usually left for TURKEY PICKINS  |
