99 cents store best finds thread Post your good finds at Dollar Tree or 99 cents Only or any dollar store here! I found the cutest tiki/luau party stuff there today. I totally want to have a party now for no reason! Tiki shot glasses, pineapple and coconut shaped drink containers, even hula skirts! Lots of decorations... I think I want the pineapple drink container. I also found this tea called Sweet Leaf, there's a cartoon grandma on it. It is so good. The sweet tea is always sold out. There's a few varieties, the citrus green tea is also good. Way better than Arizona's green tea. Also at Dollar Tree they always have 50 poop bags for a buck. 99cents stores only have them sometimes. |
The name Dollar Tree is the wrong name...it should be $20 Tree. lol I always manage to find a tone of stuff! If you look in the baby section there, you will find the diaper bags can be used for poop bags and there are 75 bags to a box. They used to be 100. :( I like their knick knacs for the holidays. I have a window ledge in my kitchen that I can decorate according to the holiday and always seem to find some cute stuff at Dollar tree for that. |
I found Jada a red satin Christmas Dress and Bogie a black satin Tuxedo vest once. They were actually pretty cute for a buck each. I can never leave there without spending at least 20-30 bucks :D You can sometimes find really cute picture frames too. |
I have found some really nice large, plastic bowls that my son likes to use for popcorn every night! Not too big, not too small; and nice and sturdy. And . . I've been known to purchase silverware there the night before a party when I think I might be running low! I've gotten some nice, sturdy forks that we still use; but you have to be careful because a lot of times they are cheap and flimsy. We always buy our gift bags there for Christmas gift giving. Love the Dollar Tree! |
Oh! This thread just brought back a great memory. When my son was little; I'd let him pick 3-4 new ornaments for our tree every year. He always found some great glass ornament balls at the Dollar Tree that still decorate our tree today. |
Now you are talking my kind of store. I found some HUGE boxes of Glad bags (gallon and sandwich size) for less that a 30 or 40 ct box at Jewel. I'm so into that store. I go there first when I go shopping. I think I ought to go there before grocery shopping too but never think of it. |
I was at party city last yr for her first yr bday party. It was tinkerbell theme and I really wanted the cake plate for all the. Kiddos and bought them (the nice hard plastic for everyday use and they could take home) at 2.99 each. I bought DD the whole set for home. Last week, found the entire same set for a buck each. I felt cheated lol I picked up the sandwich holder and extra plates. Too bad this yr for her second bday it will be Dora theamed and they had none :( My fav finds are salad bowls, can openers, bday gift bags, condiments, bday balloons, sponges, brushes for scrubbing, spray bottles................ And the best cleaner/degreaser called AWESOME and it really is!!!!! |

Heck yeah! Even beats easy off for the oven ;) |
I have bought some really nice melamine bowls there for the dogs food, in such neat patterns. My daughters dog has butterflies, my son's lab has butterfinger slogan. They get washed nightly in the dishwasher so I have no worries of any issues. I also bought our pom's "bad to the bone" stoneware food bowls there, and Teddie's stoneware there too. I also have picked up poo bags, the BEST toilet cleaner ever (it ACTUALLY works), and little holiday deco knicknacks there. I have little ceramic snowmen/moose/santas/penguins etc. that are so beautiful...people NEVER believe that I spent just a buck on them. I also bought the little stocking holders there...they've held up for years and hold a full stocking on the mantle. I also bought wicker planters there that I stuck faux roses in to line the tops of my kitchen cabinets to add color. I have picked up coca cola cups for my kids (the glass funny shaped one's), and I pick up my glass votive holders there so I have plenty of candle holders for special occasions. Neat stuff all the way around... |
1 Attachment(s) That is one of my favorite stores! LOL You just never know what you might find there. The other day they had these little 8 pk/ 100 calorie snack packs of peanuts, m&m's & raisins. I've tried every other $ store I see and can't find anymore. :( Heidi got this pretty red satin dress there. |
I have found cute little nic nacks, cards gift bags lots of things |
Love, love, love dollar tree $$$. I always manage to find cool stuff. I found pictures in a glass frame. They are so nice. I just finished redoing my livingroom and they match perfectly. You can't tell they even come from the dollar store. My dh was amazed when he saw them. |
I never find anything good in our dollar store :( I will sometimes buy gift bags- they are usually 2/$1- but thats about it. |

I got Sammy's Santa suit at Dollar Tree! I like their scrubbing brushes for doing the bathroom and they have sponges with a scrubby on one side which are great for doing the dishes. They also have a foam window cleaner which works really well that I've seen in other stores for $4. |
Ive gotten tons of cool halloween decorations for super cheap. We go all out here at work and every year we go there and buy more to add to our collection! We have the coolest room in the company for halloween! We make the little kiddies cry! LOL (mean I know!) I got some very cool Christmas ornaments there, all sequins and shine, love them! |
I go to the Dollar Tree here. I always stock up on xmas wrapping paper as soon as they get it in when the selection is good-can't beat $1 for 20-30sq. ft. I buy lots of holiday stuff there, as well as gift bags, some toiletries/nail polish, etc. for my DD, pet toys, kitchen items, some cleaning supplies & basically a lot of junk I really don't need! lol. A couple months back I stopped in there & planned on running into the grocery store after for some cheese for a chicken alfredo bake. Well our Dollar Tree has a new fridge/freezer section & they had an Italian blend so I bought a couple bags. Came home, put it on, baked and VOILA!!! The cheese didn't/couldn't/wouldn't melt! I saw that in fine print on the back of the back later. So now I triple check any food product I buy from there. |

Cheese wouldn't melt?? was it blended with plastic? our 99c store has mini watermelons and they are so sweet! Sometimes you can find the Cuties tangerines for a buck also super sweet. They occasionally have really good deals with foods, like MIL got a huge pack of sandwich meat for a buck. One lady was hoarding them! The expiration dates were still good! |
I have found really beautiful silk flowers, doggie wipes, gift bags, and covered bowls to use when we BBQ or go on pic-nic's. |

I looked at the ingredients & nothing looked "foreign". At my ex-job they would sometimes get in the fake cheese, but it had a lot of wax in it & that wasn't listed. Besides, at least wax would've melted! I ended up shredding string cheese! lol, not an easy task...oh, and I got my shredder there, too. As well as 3 packs of good white socks for my DD, that's a good deal. |
I love the dollar stores around here! I find all kinds of stuff. Holiday decorations and such are always fun to get there! I find dog stuff too... poop bags, dog collars sometimes, dog bowls, etc. I get a lot of drinks there, they have cases of water for only $1 which is awesomeness, and Sunny D and stuff like that... one of my dollar stores (and it's a true $1 store) has food like small pizzas, and mozzarella sticks and things like that! |
