What role do you think Ashton K. will play ? Im really going to miss the chemistry that Charlie/Sheen and Allen/Jon Cryer had together. And throw in all the ex=wives and the teenage son Jake/Angus Jones it's all good. I have watched the show from day one, love it !! I am hoping that replacing Charlie is the right decision. I'm not sure if Ashton will have the same comedic chemistry that can hold the attention of the long time followers of the show such as my self and my family. My guess: For Charlie.... 1. Charlie is heart broken over Rose and feels the need to remove himself from the situation. 2. Charlie goes into some much need Rehab! Allen looks over his affairs until his return. My guess: For Ashton... 1. Long lost brother that no one knew about! 2. After Charlie leaves from a broken heart, Ashton sub lets his beach house. So what do you all think....? |
Sounds to be a good idea. I cant say I have watched it from day one , however I tend to agree with you. I cant even imagine the show with out Charlie. I think AK is goofy , young and not as funny. If he were to be replacing Alan I think it would have worked. Half the fun of the show was knowing that Charlie ( Sheen) had a bad boy, sexual past and the innuendo of his past was always reflected. It was always a good show to put on when you wanted a few laughs. I think the Rose theory may be correct. Either way Im going to miss Charlie on the show. I love his dry wit and interaction with Alan. Have to say Im dying to see how AK does on the show. I just dont think he can pull it off. He looks young , acts younger, never found him to be remotely humorous, not even in his show PUNKED , I think he acts like a foolish teen. |
Saw where it was confirmed. I will watch the first show but not expecting to I will watch for long. |
I've watched this show for years. I really like the show, but just don't know how they are going to work Ashton in as a character and explain the disappearance of a major character. I just don't see it going well. Chuck Lorre is a good writer, but this re-write will take major skill... I was thinking long lost brother as well... I'm excited that the show will now have an attractive male character to enjoy ;) |
2 and a 1/2 men was one of my favorite shows but I found myself liking the reruns in syndication more than the current seasons. I haven't watched it on a Monday night on CBS in years. Like mentioned above, the show is CHARLIE. He is not acting at all......well a little I guess because on tv his character is a little more together lol. AK seems like a unny guy, I loved Punk'd, I liked his movie Killers, and I liked when he was a guest house with Kelly Ripa on Live. It all depends on how they bring him into the show. Definitely can't be a Charlie replacement but they can make him a long lost son of Charlie's that only his mom knew about and that is why they have such a strange relationship lol. I will check out the show...as I'm sure a lot of people will to see how they write Charlie out and bring Ashton into the mix! I hope it works out for the cast. It sucks that because one man has flipped out families were almost out of a job, both cast and crew! Charlie = #notwinning |
I like the dry humor on 2 & 1/2..... and will definitely give AK a chance to entertain me! I do think the part fit C.S. to a tee and it will be odd seeing his part played by someone else.... but he screwed up and has to deal with what cards he has right now..... so time will tell how good the writers of the show really are and where AK will fit in..... Bring it on! I can turn the tv off if I don't like it.... Ain't it great that we have that freedom? :D |
I really liked the show when it was fresh. But then I lost interest. I will give it a try when new productions come. |
I've actually always hated the show, never thought it was funny. Maybe because I don't like Charlie Sheen and that character was basically him. I hate cocky people and he is/was one of them. I MIGHT tune in just to see how they write Ashton into the show but other than that, I think this move is the final nail in the coffin of the show. |
