I think I am most anxious about leaving her. I've never been away from her for more than 1 week before, and by the end of 1 week I usually miss her so much it hurts :( Since she became paralyzed we're together all the time and it's even harder to leave! Sounds like Layla will have a lovely vacation too, and great to be in such good loving hands. Good luck on managing 4 weeks of missing her..... oh my, that's a challenge.:D

Thanks, I'll need the luck! I'm giving her so many extra snuggles now leading up to us leaving!

As for the hotel thing, it all worked out! We did have to pay a little more, but we ended up with a 5-star hotel right across from St Stephen's Green :eek: I was so excited I almost cried! We barely slept because we were so giddy over it! It was less than our top price too! And it's about 60% off the regular price for that hotel :D Phew! The stress instantly lifted when that went through! And from now on, we will triple and quadruple check everything we book!

YAY! I'm SO glad to hear it. Make sure you go out and enjoy Dublin -- don't spend the whole time basking in your 5 star hotel. :D

Haha I wish we had a little bit of time to bask :) I think we get there around noon, and then we'll have the rest of that day to explore. The next morning, we get on a bus bright and early (around 6 am) on a tour to Blarney Castle and Cork, and the morning after that we have to get up early again and get on another bus to see the Giants Causeway and Derry (my bf lived in Derry for awhile so he wants to show me around!), and then the next day we fly back to London, sleep a few hours, and then fly back to Canada! Did I say this was a whirlwind trip? Lol we're fitting SO MUCH in! I will need a vacation when I get home!

But I'm sure I'll find some time to drink some Guinness and find a leprechaun to bring home in my pocket :D

I am absolutely green with envy right now! That sounds like a wonderful trip; hope you two have a great time! Please have a drink of guiness for me (I know, if everyone on YT asks that, you'll not remember a thing about your trip.)

These things happen. I know someone that went to the airport for their 6.10pm flight only to find out it was a 6.10am flight so they missed it!
Years from now this will be nothing but a good traveling story that you will laugh about.

Yea! That's awesome news!

My dad told me something about the Blarney stone and NOT to kiss it. The locals like to pee on it when they are drunk at night. :eek: I'm not sure if it's true, but just seeing the position you have to be in to even get in that position would be a no thanks for me.

Maybe I will just have a sip for everyone who asks haha! I've actually never tried Guiness before :rolleyes: My boyfriend hates it, but I am going to try it anyway. I am trying something new in every country :)

Ouch! The one thing I'm thankful for is that we caught it early! If we would have shown up there the day we were supposed to check in, and had no room, I don't know what we'd do. With no computer and knowing nothing about the city, we'd definitely be lost!

LA LA LA I'M NOT LISTENING!!! Lol, I have heard it's gross too :( But you have to walk up a whole lot of stairs to get to it, and it's private property so they'd be breaking in to get to it. So I'm going to forget that pee story lol. I thought if we're going that far, we might as well do it! I am the shyest girl ever so I wouldn't mind gaining the gift of gab from a magic stone :)

Oh all I'm saying is not put your actual mouth on it. I'm sure there are some drunk people breaking into private property, like that ever stopped anyone, haha. But of course hike all the way to the top!

Haha I'm probably going to kiss it anyway! I looked it up on Snopes and the guards or whatever there have been asked that hundreds of times and they get really annoyed and say that it doesn't actually happen and it's just a rumor to scare tourists :confused:

I am so sorry to hear you have a snag in your vacation plans. I hope your luck changes and you find a great room. I do not think you are being high maintenance at all I would want a private room as well. You are going on this vacation to enjoy yourself and have a romantic vacation with your kind BF. This vacation sounds so exciting. I know you and Scott will have a wonderful time and in the end this will be an interesting story to tell the grandkids down the road.

Next summer we are returning to Europe and England, Scotland, & Ireland are on the list!
