I think there's something wrong with me
 
LOL! I'm an older girl, but I still can't talk to guys. I've always been extremely shy, it used to be really bad. Not so much anymore. I'm fine around guys I'm not attracted to, but as soon as I'm attracted to someone I turn into a blubbering fool. There's this new EMT in town, who makes my heart pound and knees weak. He's come into where I work a couple times now and each time I'm a mess. I forget to breathe and I make mistakes on the till. He's just a guy I know, but I'm wondering how the heck I'm going to get over this so I can actually try talking to him without mumbling and jumbling my words. Usually I'm like eh, he's cute and nice and all and don't really bother and I admire from afar. But for once I'd like to try. Any suggestions about how to get over my nerves? I could have talked to my friends about this, but I don't want them laughing at me. They think I'm silly. lol.

Since he is an EMT, your forgetting to breathe could work in your favor :cool:
I say you play up the hyperventilating and maybe even fall down in front of him. Once he saves your life, you can ask him out for a drink as a token of your appreciation.

You can't give up that quick! We are gonna get you a man ;) If you really like him you need to find out where he hangs out. You could show up there for a drink or whatever. :p

I will have to scout around and see if anyone knows where he hangs out, I'm also thinking of walking Tila through the hospital parking lot. lol. Hope he likes dogs, because who can resist a cute yorkie.

just so I don't sound crazy. lol. I usually cut through the hospital parking lot when walking Tila. The hospital is right around the corner.

I don't like the idea of showing up at his hang outs without an invitation. If he thinks you're stalking him or perceives you as some sort of weirdo, it will be over before it started.

I think I'll try and start out with Hello. :) I work like 6 days out of 7, never have time to go out and am usually too tired anyways. If I see him away from work, a nice hello will work to begin with. Sounds good.

i don't have any good advice, i used to be suuuuper shy and i don't know what happened!:eek: now i just go for those deep stares and ask what's really going on, making my interest obvious...they bite or they don't, like you I also got tired of watching from afar.

Not sure what age group we're talking about but that definitely works for my generation :P :thumbup: Matt and I were already together when I got Harley, and I accidentally bought him a Saints collar, not knowing thats what it was, it was a conversation piece for all guys who came to our apartment after that.

I also like the mouth to mouth suggestion :D
