I would be putting my trash cans in the garage and putting a lock on the water faucet or take the handle off!!!! They would have free loaded for the last time............ :mad: The nerve of some people..... :mad: I would cool off first then go and tell them that they just took their last free ride on the free utility train... You know my mom had a free loading neighbor that would just walk right in and not even knock and help himself to a cup of sugar or an egg, wrench, screwdriver, etc and also any sweets she had made cookies, cake or whatever. He would just say don't get up- don't mind me I know where it's at. So one day she made a special batch of brownies with a secret ingrediant (Ex-Lax) chocolate chips. Needless to say he never borrowed anything else after that...... :p :yelrotflm :tongue: |
This is outrageous and these people are stealing from you. Water is so expensive in AZ so this would send me over the wall. I think you can buy locks for your faucets and you might want to check with your water department. BUT, having said all of this I will be very leary of pissing a neighbor off as I would be afraid what he would do to the dogs to get even with you. Now THAT is a pretty good idea - I've been thinking about what I could do because I really doubt they'll stop this - they'll probably just get sneakier ....thing that's sad is I like these people... but honestly they're really hurting us financially by doing this...that's the worst part - It makes me wonder how they can have so many nice things - yet are too cheap to pay for services everyone else pays for ? and I agree with being civil with my neighbors - I did know someone who got into a huge fight with her neighbor - she came home to 2 dead dogs ...someone had poisened them. I never confront or fight with someone without trying to be respectful. This guy is pushing his luck a bit though lately... |

Villette, you need to take pictures of YOUR water hose going to THEIR house using YOUR water. Call the police and report them. This is theft. I would not allow them to use your trash cans either. YOU pay for pick up. THEY do not. They are moochers alright and will continue to take advantage from you and anyone else they can including the government. i would put a video camera in a nearby window if he is taking your water and using your trash who know what else he is helping himself toso people if there smart enough know how to steal your phone line, cable all kinds of things that your paying for. maybe put up a very large no trespassing sign he will get the picture. make sure you lock your house up to cause he may help himself to your inside stuff too. i wouldnt be so nice i dont mind lending things but when it comes back broken i expect that they will fix it. as for garbage ok no big deal but the water nope i wouldnt share. the more water you use makes your rates go up besides the fact that as that meter is spinning your pocketbook is empting. you have every right to vent! |
