1 Attachment(s) I think the Home Depot employee shoul dhave never put face in the dogs face. Big no-no for any dog. That would be a big no-no for me. LOL I keep mine on the leash attached to the basket in the basket and 95 % of the time most people ask before they approach them. I think everyone should learn that. Ask before you approach. Attachment 343517 We love shopping Home Depot |

Two cuties in pink in a basket - nice pic!! We take our little one in a "pet bag" into the stores in our area that allow - Home Depot is one of them. We love shopping at the Home Depot with ours too! |
The Home Depots around me haven't allowed pets (besides service dogs) for a few years now. Sad to hear about this story. :( |
What bothers me the most about this story is the gross over-reaction to one incident. Irregardless of fault, owners or store clerks, it was a terrible thing to happen and will live long into the memories of both involved. However, to say then, because this one dog, bit one employee, no dogs will ever be allowed back into the store...across Canada, North America or whatever is a gross over-reaction! How many dogs visit Home Depot or any other store for that matter on a daily basis, who have never had a negative incident! Why don't we hear about those stories? Why must we always focus on the negative, and then build a policy to avoid it? Punish the woman who's dog bit (I think she has been fined, and the dog now requires a muzzle to be in public) and let it go....However, sad, the store clerk as also learned an important lesson...never stick your face in a dog's face, esp if you don't know them!! But don't ban the rest of us, who love to take our dogs out... |

It would only take another incident for that to happen. If I were Home Depot; I would not allow it either - service dogs only. |

I have a friend who has a large dog -- she says if I can take my shih tuz and yorkie places why not her? So... next thing you know people will be bringing in dogs big enough to do damage |
