Internet Search Help Please
 
Hi all

I know we have lots of members here who are very internet savvy, and understand the ins and outs of searching for information.

Well, a very long time ago, I read a beautiful poem, that has been reverberating in my mind over the years. I want to find this poem; and all i can remember are a few lines, that it was written by a nun (perhaps one of the ecstatic nuns?) and my very faulty memory says maybe last name is a "Brown"

Here are some of the lines I remember;

I heard you calling my name;
I was scared, so I ran, I ran
Into a flower and it bloomed,
I ran into a cloud and it rained,

And all the time I heard you calling my name


These lines are mayhap paraphrasing, as I can't rely on the accuracy of my memory.

Can anyone help? Perhaps point me in how to search for this poetess?

I tried also, but I had no luck. We have a program that we use at work to help students see if they are plagiarizing work called turnitin.com. My internet search came up with nothing yet, but I'm not done trying. This program might be helpful because it will pick up clusters of just three words. I just have to figure it out. If I can't, I'll be able to have an answer for you by Wednesday most likely when I can seek help at work.

I tried for awhile, no luck. I am known in the family for being able to find most things on the internet, but this one has me stumped. Good luck

Hi, I tried as well but no luck. Do you remember where you read it from? Was it a book of poems with mixed authors? If so, do you remember the name of it?

Yes I was at a retreat weekend, at a Jesuit monastery, it was to the best of my memory, in a looseleaf binder, along with other writings, that was just part of the library there. We didn't study the poem, I was just browsing through the library and came across it. Oh and that monastery is closed, I read this about 25 years ago so....

If it was published, turnitin.com should pick it up. I've set up my account and am not going through tutorials to figure out how to submit it. Fortunately I saved a temporary password in my work email from a few years ago, so I was able to set the account up. Figuring it out might take me a little time, but I'm working on it

I finally was able to upload what you posted to turnitin.com, and it is showing 0% similarity to anything, which I find strange. It's possible that I am doing something wrong, so I will have to ask for help once I return to work on Wednesday. The answer could be that it has not been published or I'm just missing something. I'm not planning on giving up so easily.
