Quick homework question -- business laws Please help :) Haha. This is probably a dumb question, but I don't wanna ask my professor since it's due tonight at midnight (online class) and don't want him to think I'm all last minute (even though I am). Ha... here's the question. Activity #9: MARYLAND LAWS. HR laws differ by state. For example, Maryland is not a “right to work” state. Do a web search for Maryland (or any other State as you wish) HR laws that may pertain to your business. Identify specific laws by name and the requirements as possible. Write a commentary on your findings. I am going to guess that HR stands for Human Resources... when I googled HR laws though, nothing came up about that... so just wanna make sure I answer the question correctly. Umm... help on this stupid easy question?! |
Try labor law. |

No it's not at all...HR does stand for human resources. |
Thanks Kristin for the link! :) And thanks for confirming my thoughts, Rosemarie! You guys are awesome, so quick to answer, hehe |
Could also be human rights? I just took a law class and the equality unit referred to human rights as HR. But as a business student my first reaction to HR is human resources. |

Brit, how did the assignment go? |
Good, thanks! Professor was happy with my answer. :) This is my only online class this semester and I find the online classes to be difficult -- not necessarily because the class is hard but I have a hard time remembering to log in and keep myself up to date! LOL. I am not sure I like the whole 'teaching yourself' method. |

I've been taking all of my classes online the first two terms, and hope to take all the remaining! I love online classes. You do need to be disciplined though. I am a pretty detailed person though, so it works for me. Plus, the commute to my school is far and hectic. Good luck with your assignment! |
I know the feeling... my last four courses are online this summer. |
