This is so wrong on so many levels. Let us see an armed intruder trespasses, fleeing from the commission of a crime, the dog protects and defends on his property... his reward being shot twice and left to die from the gunshot wounds. This officer should be charged with cruelty to animals.
Ever heard about shooting into the ground by the dogs rear? At the minimum if you are going to take this dog\'s life do it cleanly, don\'t let an animal bleed out from it\'s wounds. Good grief good hunters do better than this.
I just finished speaking to hubby about this, while our dogs are not left out for long periods of time in our backyard, we are going to put a lock on our new gate.
Summer is coming and we are all out in our backyards, gardening, bbquing, enjoying the day, I don\'t want unwelcome intruders into our space.
