Someone please have an idea!! My daughter has her 8th grade graduation in June and is looking for a cute, simple, white tube dress to wear. We have burned up over a 1/4 tank looking all over at every single store over the last 3 days! For several reasons I do not drive on the highway, so I am hoping and praying someone here will know of a good site to go to for Junior Fashions. please...i am so desperate!:p:rolleyes: Thanks so much! I would avoid white dress shopping online, too likely to get one that is see through (many experiences with this). Is she set on a white dress? there are so many great colors out there. Then again, when I was a teenager and I got my mind set on something, there was no changing it! I don't envy you at all, lol. Good luck finding the right dress, just make sure to read reviews whenever possible, usually someone will post that it was semi-see through, or totally see through, or not see through at all. |

Do you sew, by any chance, or know anyone who does? After looking at the tube dress on the Dillards site, I remembered that JoAnn's and Hancock Fabrics has the stretch smock top dress material! It is so inexpensive, and all you need is to measure your daughter's chest and buy the yardage! It would take one seam from top to bottom and you have a dress! |

Oh how I feel your pain. I wish you all the luck in the world finding that perfect dress for 8th grade graduation. Have you tried Macy's or ArdenB? ArdenB can be hit or miss but my daughter has bought a few dresses from there for HS dances. |

Thanks so much everyone! She checked all of the links, as of late last night, and she loved so many of them. The problem? None of them came in a size small! So she kept searching and searching & finally found one on Mandee.com i believe. It's cute & basic, hopefully it fits right! We ordered a white dress, it didn't fit, never got sent back so $50 is hanging in the closet with no purpose in life.:rolleyes: We bought another white dress in-store, took it back a few days later. Bought the skirt outfit she finally decided on. Thought she didn't decide on the skirt so we bought a creme colored dress, took that back! Aye, aye, aye!!! People say Yorkies are picky, well I say Jasmine's are picky!:p It's all said & done, she's moving on to H.S. in the fall.:):( Here are a few pics I took before we left. And I think we should start shopping for H.S. Grad anytime so we can be done by 2015! |

I thought what will they be wearing for HS graduation. My goddaughter's was very pretty but she looked a lot different then we did in 8 th grade LOL |

Thanks for the nice compliments everyone.:) Patti, your Goddaughter is beautiful. It was hard to find an outfit we could agree on and WOW some of the girls at the grad truly shocked me! I don't care how long it would take to find something else she would not be wearing some of these items! Jazz's skirt was short but she has long legs & we did the best we could. I had her "test" it & it passed.;) I was happier it was ruffled & not formfitting. A couple girls had to of had 4-5" heels on! No freaking way! |
When my girls dresses or skirts are too short for me, I make them wear tight biker shorts under it so if there is a mishap all that could be seen is shorts. My girls are 20 and 16 |

It only gets worse in HS. :D I can't tell you how many white dresses I tried on- we had a cap and gown over it, but b/c the gowns were white, we still had to have white dresses. I think mom finally just picked up something she thought would fit the day of graduation and i had to wear that- but no one saw it as I put my gown on before I left the house and refused to take pics w/o it on until I was back in jeans and a tshirt. I've learned at least for next time to have some rules. X amount budget, X number of trips to a store, X number of returns, lol.:rolleyes: We did get to bond quite a bit & I do feel special that she wanted my opinion over her friends.:D |
