Anyone else getting pop-up notices on YT?
 
I have pop-ups blocked on my computer and the only time I get a warning is when I'm on YT and get a PM or friend request. However. the last few days I've received 3 or 4 pop-up warnings with no new PM'd or friend requests. I've checked my settings and I should be getting PM's so I don't know what's going on. I've run several scans and my system is clean.

Is anyone else having this happen?

Yes, I've been getting pop up blocks them to, but can't figure out why. Mines not necessarily with PM's either. :rolleyes:

Well, I don't know for sure if it's from a PM not coming through but that is the only thing I ever get a notice for on YT so I thought maybe that was the reason. It just seems strange...and it's never happened before.

I'm not getting pop-ups except for a survey pop very occasionally.

If you got to user CP, and then choose "edit options" there is an option that says:

"If you are browsing the forums when you receive a new private message, the system can pop-up a notification box informing you of the new message."
and a box next to "Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up", make sure this box is unchecked.

I still receive notification of PM's in the right hand corner, but I don't get any pop-ups.

I don't think it's a PM notification but I don't know. If it's for a PM or friend request it will show up next to 'private messages' under my user name. Not sure what else it could be though...I just get the yellow bar that says pop-up blocked but nothing else.

I have got those pop ups lately. Says a threat has been blocked.
I ran an AVG scan, an Ad-aware scan, a Malwarebyte scan and tdsskiller.
(I know probably overdoing it). Everything was clean. But when I checked the virus vault in AVG there was a JS Popup virus. So AVG had caught it before I ran the scan.

Well, my system is blocking the pop-up so that's good. After my 'blinking cursor' issues a week or so ago I have gotten into the habit of scanning my computor when I'm done on YT.

The good news is...my cursor doesn't blink at me anymore :)

Yes. I've been seeing them, too. Mine are blocked. Just letting the antivirus take care of them.:)

I am getting the survey one every time I log in. I am running scans now. Just to be safe. :)
