Ok kinda nervous... applying for my first real job. Well I just did it. I applied for my first "real" job. No more running my own business, no more co-op internships, no more school hands you jobs to apply for, and no more working for the university. My contract ends in two weeks with the university, and I just applied for my first external job. It's a big leap, but I figured no harm trying. I applied for a Legal Administrative Assistant position. I'm almost finished my degree (Bachelor of Commerce), and well not sure if I'm qualified for this one or not, but I want to go to law school next year. So my fingers are crossed, I'm extremely nervous, I really hope I get an interview. I'm very good at interviews, so if I can get in the door I actually stand a chance. There I feel better... I needed to get that off my chest. BAH, so ready to be done school in many ways, and so not ready to be done school in many others. |
I understand your feelings completely. Good luck on getting the interview and then landing the job. Keep us updated!! |
Good luck!:D |
Thanks :) This is also the first job I've applied for that was through a hiring agency, so it'll be interesting to see if that is any different. |
I really hope it works out for you.:) |
Good luck:) |
Thanks everyone :) I think what's driving me crazy now is there was no application deadline, so I have no idea when to expect to hear from them if I am successful. |
Adding my good luck wishes for the appointment, interview & job! What a wonderful time in your life -- enjoy it all! I know the feeling of wanting school to be done but still having more you want to complete too! You'll find the best careers let you keep learning forever! |
