Vacation to Maine/NY/MA I am thinking of taking a vacation to Maine/MA/NY in July. Probably flying into NYC to stay a few days then driving up to Maine and then flying out of Boston (have a friend who lives there). For those that live there, is this doable? Any fun places to see or things to do? Thanks! |
Bar Harbor in Maine, and all along the coast from Portland to bar Harbor. Also, make sure you hike to the top of Cadillac Mountain! |

Its doable- NYC to Maine is kind of a long drive- are you going to drive or take a train/bus? |

What is your suggestion? We want to spend most of our time in Maine, but also a few days in NYC, but also want it to not be too stressful if that won't work. I did mapquest it and the drive was like 8 hours (which for me in the midwest is not a big deal as we are used to driving alot) |

Ok, good to hear! |
New York City is amazing, I sure you will find many many things to do, being from Boston there is alot of historical things in that area, you can do the Freedom Trail and maybe take a ride to Plymouth, If you haven't seen it , its really pretty along the water front and you could see the Mayflower and Plymouth Plantation. The beaches in Plymouth are really nice too. And if you like to shop make sure to Hit Canal Street in NYC... its crazy but so much fun! |
